Default How to upgrade 2014 C7 Infotainment to Android Play

I have a 2014 C7 Corvette and the infotainment system is below average. Can I upgrade to the Android Auto infotainment system that is offered in newer 2016 chevys? Please help.

It requires a major hardware upgrade. I think it is pretty expensive.

Yes you can. Here you go, it's $1399 with CarPlay and AA added:

You have to buy the 2016 radio parts (I think this is what is in the link above). NOT the 2017 parts as GM added "CAN Authentication" to 2017's and you'd need to replace EVERYTHING on the CAN Bus (this if I'm reading the "What's new in 2017" correctly).

It's pricey but it's NOT " major hardware"

It's two modules, one on the drive side and one on the passenger side.

I did it to get Apple CarPlay (which include the Android Auto capability) and here is my experience I posted last month:

That looks like a cool upgrade. I am guessing the new system uses the backup camera?

If you're commenting on my post where I talk about both the NavTool option and the OEM retrofit (upgrade), either way, both still use the factory backup camera.
