Do tall people fit in the Corvette?
Hey guys,
I've never had a Corvette nor even drove one but I'm gonna buy one soon.
Im about 6' 4½ and I was wondering if I can fit in the Vette and it'll be comfortable for me?
Are there any tall guys here?

I have a friend that is 6'3" or 6'4" and he has a C6 GS convertible. He has to do some twisting and turning to get in the car, but once in he is comfortable.
Several months ago he went to our local dealer to see about getting a new C7. He could not get comfortable, no matter what the seat position was. He drove his C6 GS home.
At your height, I wouldn't accept anyone's opinion as to whether YOU would fit in a C7. Best to rent one and drive it for a weekend(if you can get in the car in the first place). Very expensive mistake if you buy one and then can't drive it.

JoesC5 provides very good advice. So many variables including inseam vs. torso length, etc. Your weight can be a factor also. Without a test fit you're taking a big risk. Good luck.

The C7 is a tighter fit than my previous c6Z.
I fit fine in the C7 with the seat slightly angled upwards and then tracked all the way back. You will need to move it around both with the back angle and the height to get what you want.
I have not found it to be an issue or had any discomfort.
I have the competition seats and they would be more comfortable if they were wider in the upper back.
In short, pun intended, headroom is good, leg more could use an extra inch, shoulder area ok, GT seats likely better choice for day to day driving.

I'm 6' 5" 235# the 2017 GS is my 6th Vette. Just look at the threads that explain how to adjust the seat. Also go TRY it.

You don't buy shoes without trying them on first, why would you purchase an expensive sports car without driving it for a couple of days? Try it on, then make the decision.

Just before I bought my 2016 coupe, I went down to a nearby dealer and just sat in one for a good half hour adjusting the seats, fiddling with all the buttons and controls, and in general making sure it felt right. I'm 6'3" and for me it is comfortable.
As has been mentioned, just go try one on for yourself. The seats are very adjustable so experiment. The seating dimensions are virtually the same as the C6; the reason the cockpit seems tighter is because the dash is somewhat closer to the driver than previous generations.
Good luck and let us know what you decide.

I am 5 foot 11 & 200 lbs (long legs). I had to twist and turn a little bit to get in and out of the car - but test-driving a 2016 was very comfortable.
Getting in and out of it was the worst part - but driving it was quite enjoyable. I hope to be in my own 2017 very soon......but it won't be a daily driver at all. I own a Nissan Altima sedan that fits that purpose and it is very comfortable.

For a start go to a dealer and sit in one.

There are many, many threads on here that go into this subject in detail. Differences of opinions are as wide ranging as there are heights of owners. Generally, it seems most taller and bigger folks agree that the C7 feels tighter and less roomy than the C6 (though the published stats say otherwise). However, many tall folks feel fine in the C7. Anyway, advice to go try one first is solid. Personally, at 6'4" and 240 lbs, I fit much better in my C6. Its a personal experience so check it out for yourself. I am hoping that GM will take pity on us taller folks and engineer more room in the C8.

This is very good advice. If you are in an area where renting one is not an available option, at least try and take one or more for a test drive to see how you fit and feel in the car.

I'm 6'7" about 300lbs. I fit just fine once I'm in. It is snug, but it's a sports car and I like it being snug.
I have the transparent roof to give me an extra inch of head room.
I fit in the car fine stock, but I did unplug the driver seat limiter to also gain an extra inch of leg room. That mod with adding some extra foam behind the seat took all of 3 minutes.
However, from a tall guy, the most annoying thing is the position on the hatch release button. I know it's there and try to avoid hitting it, but at least once a week I pop the hatch while getting in and have to get back out, close the hatch and start the entry process all over again.
FYI, this is my second vetted and the C6s have more interior room for us tall guys.

6'2" mostly legs
A. Despite the numbers being almost identical there is definitely a touch
less leg room than my previous C6 GS....added a flat bottomed
steering wheel to my C7 (not stock in '14).
B. Briefly had a C7 with the competition seats, very restrictive in the
upper back to the point of discomfort after only a short drive...
In summation, it could work but you will have little to spare, especially if it is your daily driver.....
Good Luck
