Default E Force questions

so just finished the install of my stage 2 Edelbrock E force. I just have a cpl questions..

Is there a break in period of is it all ready for WOT?

what temp does the electric fans engage? I warmed it up to close to 200* and the fans never came on.

Do you have to cut the material on the hood for clearance?

Glad to hear you got it installed. Congrats

1. No break-in period if the car is already past its break-in period

2. I'm in Vegas and I have yet to hear my fans kick in. Maybe summer 2017

3. You don't have to cut the hood liner. If you don't, the top of the blower will rub on the
liner and will eventually mark up the very front red part. Even with it cut, a few of us still have
a few marks on the corners. I mean, the engine still moves around under hard acceleration.

Once I painted the edges, the felt dust went away and so did the marks. Mostly

This is what mine looked like after the felt was cut but wasn't painted with enamel yet:

I had to wait till it wasn't raining to make sure it was dry before closing the hood.

Same with mine. My hood liner is cut per instructions and it still rubs.

There is no break in.

Thanks guys, I'll modify the hood liner to correct the clearance issue.
So before uploading the Edelbrock tune my display would change to match the mode the car was in, now it just displays the sport mode screen no matter what mode the car is in??

Toggle on your dash to Information, toggle down to Display, then you have some choices, you want to select Link to Driving Mode

took it for a quick ride today. it's only 30* here today but it was funny having the tires brake loose at 65 mph.

Let us know what you end up doing - if anything. I was going to mess with mine more once the weather warms up a little.

By then, I will have probably forgotten already.

Oh, and...

Curious to see what you dyno at with the Stage 2 pulley to see if it's worth it.

Oh, and...

Let us know how loud your "marbles" are at idle. Mine is pretty loud.
According to Edelbrock, it's hit or miss depending on 20 different factors.

I got pissed and just pulled the hood liner out. No additional mechanical noise without it. I know it's also a fire blanket but...

Thanks. I was thinking about doing that so now I'll just pull it out.

I think break-in is 30/30, 30 seconds or 30 yards, whichever comes first.

I'm going to pull my hood liner until I have time to modify it.
As far as what the stage 2 dyno's, I was told by Edelbrock it's about 30 hp over the stage 1.
I have Edelbrocks 91 octane tune in the car now. Edelbrock just sent me their 93 octane tune which I'll upload to the car soon.
what octane tune are you guys using from Edelbrock ?

I am curious about your marbles comment. Do you get a clattering sound at idle from the supercharger? I am getting one now from my Magnussen that I was not getting when it was new. I am at about 6000 miles on the supercharger. The installer told me it is normal, I have had other supercharged vehicles that did not do this.

Mine is whisper quiet. The only marbles I have loose are not the ones in the car.

i know this an an old post but did you ever get your marble issue resolved? I have had a edlebrock on the car for a year now and on hot restarts of the car the noise is very bad on my car at idle and slow speeds. I don’t hear it while I’m driving. I have a video but don’t know how to post it on here. I called edlebrock tech and they seem not to know anything about it. I’m just wondering if everything is okay or something is seriously wrong.
