Sat at home and waited for UPS to deliver this. Replacing my Z06 poverty splitter with h a C7 Carbon GTX splitter. Felt like a kid at Christmas unwrapping it. Now to get it painted and installed.

Replaced the OEM brake pads on my 2016 Z51 with PowerStop pads. Should have done this sooner. Probably 75% to 80% less dust with the spirited way I drive. Only took about 4 to 5 hours of my time and about $130 and I now have wheels that stay cleaner and look better longer!!!!!

Just got back from my last project presentation in Tampa, FL today...pulled my Avalanche in the garage and smiled as I walked past my Laguna Blue Z51 Stingray and my Z06 VY track car. I'm retiring...1 more week to wrap stuff up, then 7 weeks vacation and I come up on my 40 year anniversary date and leave UPS.

Congratulations!

I'll be doing the same at the end of this school year....43 years of teaching....time to retire and drive my '16 Z51 more often.

Back to the thread topic: I put my Vette on the battery tender today because it'll be a while until I take it out again. Days and days of nothing but rain and low temps including some snow here in Puget Sound this and all of next week.

Hurry Spring!

Did the dry-sump 500 mile oil filter change (M1 5W-30 and PF64, and 2 aftermarket magnetic drain plugs), put in 9.5 qts, took if for a drive, waited 5 minutes, the level on the dipstick is about a quarter inch above the full line....what gives?

Also changed the rear diff oil. Three quarts of GM 88862624 "Dexron N LS Gear Oil". The magnetic drain plug already had some steel particle "paste" stuck to it.

Cleaned the C7 and covered with the satin stretch indoor car cover.
Very nice and soft.

Redecorated the garage as well if that counts.

I drove it an hour south (to Scotland) to pick up this coffee maker that I had commissioned from a metal fabricator:

And as I was getting back into the car, a guy in a NRB Stingray (with a ton of advertising stickers on it like it was a pace car at one point) pulled up and asked me how to get to the closest winery, which I happened to know. He didn't even acknowledge that we were both in a C7, even though I complemented the color of his car.

And then I drove an hour home, and made some "Kahlùa."

Installed ACS rear diffuser set, took it out for a drive and had a little fun with a 5.0 Mustang.

Look good. I'm tempted but they aren't cheap.

I changed the oil and filter Sunday. Amsoil for both.

Was that for a software update to make the airbag work?

Btw how much you paid to expel wrap the whole car?
