I'm due for tires soon so I'll certainly wait until march.
I think the current PSS on the Grand Sport already have that curb protection. It saved my bacon when I was parking a few days ago. Moving at slow speed I wedged against the curb and immediately stopped and worked backwards to get off of it, with visions of nasty scrapes all over my nice new wheels. I got out and examined the wheel and... nothing. It doesn't appear to have even touched the curb. I was like:

They are only slightly more then the OEM tires from my pricing. Still no indication if they are run flats or not. Personally I want run flats so hoping they are.

Are they available in 2017 Grand Sport sizes for March? I looked on the site and couldn't find where to pre-order.

Looking forward to hearing the reviews when people start driving on these. I'd love to hear about both street driving and track driving. I've enjoyed the PSS and this is supposed to be the "next gen" version.

Hopefully they have given us a tire that does better for those of us who use it for split street/track driving at HPDE's and don't have a set of dedicated track wheels/tires.

I'm close to putting in a preorder for these. Can't figure out if I want the AS3 or the 4S. I'll be a part of a rally in November so it could get a little chilly for the 4S. Decisions decisions

What are the advantage(s) of this tire over the standard Stingray tire? All weather?

By the way, here's the fine print about the 30,000 warranty.

* Mileage Warranty Exceptions
Split fitments - If your vehicle has tires of different sizes on the front versus the rear axles, your tires cannot be rotated as recommended. Therefore, the mileage warranty on each rear tire will cover half the number of miles as the standard mileage warranty for that particular tire line.

Price isn't crazy either. Only about $150 more than current PSS.

edit: wonder if I can get PSS on clearance now.

The Pilot Super Sport is becoming the 4S. Still same category as a summer performance tire. Just supposed to have longer life and better performance overall than the MPSS.

Interesting that only the rear tires have the reduced mileage warranty. I guess folks that drive Corvettes tend to wear out the rear tires doing burnouts.
