"Tension Blue" is certainly an appropriate name for that color.

Ken my GS is a coupe. The MSRP was $83,000, and it is not a ZO7, I had enough of the Cup 2 tires with my 2016 ZO7. Let me know if you need anything else.

If you see one for sale, try to grab the sequence number and where it is, we can list those as well in case people are searching for one.

FAQ
  • Grand Sport Collectors Edition Exclusive Features
Watkins Glen Gray exterior color with Tension Blue Stripes and Satin Black Grand Sport Center Stripe Package.
Interior mostly black with Tension Blue accents
Collectors Edition Sill plates with sequence number
Premium carpeted floor mats with Grand Sport logo
    Brushed aluminum interior hash makrs
    Seat and steering wheel emblems
    Carbon Flash Badge Package
Two tone Tension Blue leather seating w/blue custom stitching
Grand Sport aluminum wheels in black finish
    Carbon fiber instrument panel trim
    Numbered plaque
  • Z07 and some other factory options can be added
  • VIN ends in 530XXXX where XXXX equals sequence number of series (for both Coupe and Convertible).
  • #0001 sold at 2016 Barrett-Jackson Auction for $170,000 (charity auction benefiting Karmanos Cancer Institute). Sold to David Flynn who also owns the first retail Cadillac ATS). reference link
  • 1,000 total to be made, 850 destined to US. Rumors are that less than 1,000 will actually be built, final production numbers will be posted once published.

REGISTRY

I started listing all of them here in this post, including ones that I've found for sale at various dealers as it may be helpful for someone that is looking to purchase one of these to find a sequence number they want or specific options. The list though makes this original post a little long and it will only get longer. So I decided to put it into a Google Sheet that anyone should be able to view and comment on. If you need one added, post on this thread or enter a comment, this way I can control the formatting. Please let me know if you have any issues accessing the Google Sheet.

I'm setting up filters on the sheet so it can be sorted/viewed in different ways. Look for the filter icon up in the top left and it will give you some choices of views.

I heard the less than 1,000 number from NCM as well as the dealer that they work with, but it is not a hard fact of course....anxious to get the final numbers though, I'll ask around when I'm there in a few weeks to see if they have any more solid info because the production is supposed to end in February.

Great idea to designate this thread as a sticky - While I'm at it, thanks to Mountainears for the incredibly detailed list, particularly with that Google Sheet.

Debating on whether to pull the trigger on purchasing this vehicle or not.

Glad you liked :-). If you do purchase, maybe it will help you find the one you want. If you locate some on your journey, let me know and I'll add them. Happy to search the dealers in your area too, just need the zip codes. I know what to look for now so I can do it quickly.

Oh, that's not an issue, I can assure you. I used to live about 5 minutes away from George Matick Chevrolet but moved near the Jefferson coast line out in Saint Clair Shores a couple of years ago. Either way, it's familiar ground. They have about 5 GS CE's out there right now, and I took a look at all of them the other week since I still have ties to the west part of Detroit (technically Redford out there).

I guess my issue is I my original intent vs what's presented in front of me. I wanted to get a Grand Sport 2LT and did some customizations via the Chevrolet website. When it was all said and done, it turns out that the total "estimated" cost is around Collector's Edition MSRP territory. So it's a matter of either going the custom route or Collector's Edition. What a problem to have right?

Based on your profile information I searched the dealer site for stuff in that zip code, found two that were not on the registry before in case you want to go check them out. Cars are #63 and #420 in the registry.

Another tidbit, I've been scouring around putting these into the registry based on what I'm seeing at dealers as well. At this point I have 116 vehicles recorded. The highest number I've seen so far is 434.

Thinking about getting one of these but not sure which trim level to get. Is 3LT necessary? I am not looking for an all out racer...just a "nice" car. !

What options are necessary and which are fluff or annoying.? Any advice is appreciated.

The Collectors Edition is only available in the 3LT trim level.

Yeah, that's the problem I'm dealing with. My potential custom order that I was going to do equates to a CE Grand Sport as far as price, based on the dealership I'm visiting...and they have quite a few of them.

I chose not to get the Z07, just couldn't justify the extra $$$ knowing how I will drive the car. Its an A8 with CFZ ground effects.
