Color combo question, opinions welcome
Hey,
Still waiting until the fall to order my new ride, but have been trying to nail down what color combination I want. Right now I am thinking 2017 GS Convertible Silver with 3lt spice red Interior with a spice red convertible top.
I would like to add a crystal red dual stripe. My question is will the crystal red stripe match alright with the spice red interior? Or would it look better with the adrenalin red interior??
I like the spice red interior better because it covers the entire dash vs. just the "section". If you went silver/spice red what color dual stripe would be your first choice??
Opinions welcome, Thanks Gonzo

Gonzo I'm planning on ordering a GS coupe in late spring. My first combo choice is Blade Silver with Spice Red. I'm not a fan of dual stripe so I can't answer that question, I will be going with stinger hood either carbon flash or a aftermarket more of a carbon weave pattern. I also like how Spice Red covers dash and I also like Spice Red because it's not bright more of a deeper red. I think the bright red I would get tired of over time. A week or so back there was a picture that was posted from museum delivery with Spice Red interior /top with Crystal red dual stripe, I can't remember exterior color. Looked very nice but lights in museum thru off stripe color some.

There are any number of color combinations that work well, and they are very subjective. But a couple of points:
1. It can be easy to be overwhelmed with too much of one color. You might want to guard against that possibility. Triple black might work well, but I once had what amounts to triple red, and it really was too much.
2. You might want to consider a black top. The reason is that a lighter color will more easily show wear. It is a typical complaint that light colors show their creases after awhile.

Just my $.02, but I don't think mixing the reds will work together. The shades of red are just different, and I think it will distract from the beauty of the car. Just my opinion... my wife will tell you that I don't see colors well, so take it for what it is worth.

I love the idea of spice red and silver, and love the spice red top. Leave the stripes off. IMO people over do these cars far too often. It just gets to be too much.

I agree. Too many shades of red. I wouldn't do the stripe or calipers.

I think the combo you have in mind is perfect including the stripes. Why settle for anything less and what everyone else has.

Gonzo,
Agree, Spice Red and Silver are a nice combo. I think you'd end up regretting the stripes. Without, it would be a very classy looking ride.

could always add the stripes later on... i know it would cost more, or have them installed over paint (vinyl). but at least you could decide and not regret..
that's a very personalized vehicle with the stripes. best of luck..
(spice red design is beautiful like twilight blue, especially the convertible top in same color!!)
