Safety Car
Question for those with a switch
For those of you using a switched cable, when do you turn it on? Before or after you start the car? The reason I ask is that all the CELs I have heard of occur immediately when turning on the car.
This made me think that if you started the car first and then enabled the Range device it might stop the CEL problem.

I have tried switching mine on...located on the drivers side floor...before and after starting my Z06....no difference...always works perfectly.
Even switchedon while driving...no problems.

Oh oh! With afm range disabler active I now get stuck in fourth gear and have the check engine light on.
Removed it and thank the devil it is back to normal. I guess my original post is mute at this point.
Don't want a go cart. I prefer my vette.

They do have a QR bar code on the under side of it. Try scanning it with your phone and see what happens. That might bring the version number up who knows, worth the try.

Got mine from an Ebay supplier back in December and it is ver. 7.8.
(can't buy from Range in CA)
Works great!

Thank you for your patience.
The latest firmware is V7.8 and can be used on 2016s down to 2005s.
Thanks again.
