Grand Sport 1LT or 2LT
Need your help deciding what to do. Money is a little bit tight right now, I have saved for 3 years and have almost enough cash to buy GS coupe 1lt but would need to finance for 2lt or 3lt. Is it worth the extra cash for the 2 or 3 or is the 1lt sufficient. Thanks

IMO No. Only if you really want the HUD. The rest if the stuff in the packages are useless. The seat heaters hardly heat, The memory seats have a mind of there own, and the seat coolers hardly work if at all. If you like the extra colored trim pieces just buy them and make your own 2LT/34LT as I did and save youself $1000s and headaches.

I think the 2LT is worth the cost (has all the toys [HUD, power heated/cooled seats, etc]). I would go with a Z51 or even a base Stingray before I would give up the components that come with the 2LT package. I used the heated seats just last night, love them, even backed them down to only one bar.

This is sooooo subjective. You have to ask yourself whether you value the additional options.
I went for 3LT largely because I came from Audi, BMW etc and became accustomed to the additional options.

The 2lt trim is kinda the sweet spot imo. I like having extras though, so for me there wasn't even a consideration.

Its such a personal choice but if i had to do it over again i would absolutely go 2LT.

You're going to find that nearly everyone here is going to say that what they have is the way to go. Personally, I'd have to go with at least a 2LT because the added features over a 1LT are worth it to me. Overpriced, yes but still worth it to me. I'm continuing to enjoy HUD, upgraded audio system, and heated / ventilated seats long after I forgot how much I paid for them.

I had a 3LT 07 Convertible that I traded on a 1LT 2015 Z51 Coupe. I missed the HUD. I traded the 2015 Coupe on a 2016 Z51 2LT Convertible. I like the HUD & the cool seats and the better Bose system. I have never used the memory because nobody else drive it but me. Since I have red interior I like the added red interior parts.
Go for the 2LT it is also worth more at resale.

1LT GS (M7)here, custom-ordered because inventory in my area was mostly 3LT with a few 2LT, all with automatics and very few with competition seats. The interior is a very nice place at this trim level. I didn't need or want any of the features offered in the other two trim packages.

Are you sure about adding the front cameras, I looked on the GM order site and I don't see where you can do that.

I'd suggest the 2LT...... front camera, heated/vented seats, etc. I think this is the one that's the best overall value for the buck.
There have been many threads over the years of folks wanting to upgrade certain features to their 1LT cars that are either difficult at best to do, or downright impossible to add later.
That being said...... we have a 3LT.... ONLY because of our deal going from a 2016 2LT Stingray to the Grand Sport was due to a GM Engineering buy back on our '16 Stingray. The opportunity to upgrade for minimal $$$ made it an easy decision. We ordered red interior, and with that, I wanted the 3LT otherwise, I would have done a 2LT.

Try getting a better deal on the GS from a forum dealer and then you can have the 2lt unless you already have the best deal already. They are running amazing deals right now. I went with the 2lt, I felt the value was definitely worth it but the extra $5,000 more for the 3lt wasn't worth it. Just my opinion, either way good luck

My last 2 C6's were both 3LT's.
Memory settings - never used them
Heated/Cooled seats - never used them
HUD - liked it but it tended to wash out in bright sunlight
Front or rear cameras - My Tundra has a rear camera but I cant seem to get used to looking at it. Front camera could be of use when pulling into parking spaces but I never banged the nose yet so not sure. Might add a front camera at some point
Resale value - not much if any for a 2 or 3LT compared to selling or trading a 1LT.
Frankly, I got tired of losing my azz when selling or trading so that's my main reason for skipping the 2 or 3 LT this time around.

antpal, that's a very subjective question. As mpuzach said most will suggest the trim level they have is the best, and it is for them. If you think the 2LT is the trim for you I suggest you save a little longer or look at some of the forum dealers here. Many have 2LT's for the price that many bought 1LT's for when the new GS's came out. Good luck.
In my instance I went from a 3LT C6 to a 1LT C7, and haven't really missed any of the extras. But, that's me.
