Mildly disturbed....thought I was buying a sports car
So I bought the vette thinking I was getting a world competitive sports car. My midlife crisis. My throw caution to the wind dream. But apparently, what I got was the equivalent of an economy car. Fuel economy in the 30's??? Cargo room to grocery shop for a family of 8???? What is this nonsense?!?!

Judging by the selection of your groceries, are you one of those that is complaining about the tight seats in the C7 compared to the C6? j/k

Look on the bright side. With a family of 8, that looks like maybe 2 days worth of groceries, so you'll get plenty of seat time.

Safety Car
LOL, so many start a conversation with me with something like "I bet it gets about 10 MPG." My replies always start with "well, actually . . ."

I have the grocery hauling economy version.
My C6 Z06 with 505+HP has 50% more cargo space(enough for a family of 12????) in the rear than you plus I averaged 33.0 MPG over a 450 mile trip from Springfield, MO to Natchez, MS.
That was not 450 miles of driving a steady 65 MPH on an Interstate highway, but driving through the Ozark mountains and a bunch of little towns with their stop signs and traffic lights, with mixed traffic. Only about 30 miles of 75 MPH Interstate driving.
Don't read anything into the low MPH and RPM in the photo as I had been driving at around 65 MPH for the past 50 miles, or so, and averaged 32.9 MPG and I was slowing down in 6th gear to stop for a stop sign about 20 miles from Natchez when the DIC went to 33.0 MPG, and I grabbed my camera.
