See you have a visible Carbon Fiber roof. Since I have that and added carbon fiber side skirts, splitter, hood vent and installed this real carbon fiber cover for the chrome grill bar. More expensive than tape but it is a real carbon fiber cover that epoxies over and fits like a glove. It fits the chrome exactly. Requires a special plastic epoxy. It fits perfectly over the chrome bar. It is wide where the bar is wide and thin where it is narrow. It is a hard strip that fits perfectly.
Cost more than tape BUT considering your investment in the roof it's inexpensive! Compared to mine in all the carbon fiber parts it's trivial!
This is a PDF of the install that outlines where you can buy at a deep discount (not a forum vendor): http://netwelding.com/CF_Grille_Bar.pdf
Reel CF Grill Bar Compared to OEM. In my case have a visible CF roof, CF side skirts, CF splitter and CF hood vent so the CF grill bar looked out of place. With that investment in CF wanted a real CF grill bar, which is what I purchased,

The upshot: Ordered a Z06 grill with dual parking cameras from RPI, it was on sale, added a discount coupon code and wound up paying $383 shipped, which seemed reasonable to me. I'll have my local body shop add the blacked out badges front and rear, and I'll ditch the side fish markers all together (not crazy about that graphic anyway).

Thank you for all the help! Now I will have the baddest *** (looking) C7 in Orange Cty NY.

I like the carbon look....I switched mine out with a Z06 grille...actually I had the dealer do it for me. Cost was 130.00 plus the grille which I bought from a forum vendor...dropped it off came back an hour later ...donzo

So now somebody on another site says 'be sure you get the Z06 brake ducts or you'll have two big holes in your grill'.
WTF?
Can somebody comment on that?? First time I even heard that and this thread is 3 pages long.

If yours is a Z-51, you already have the brake ducts.

Some have said the $275 GS option is an error! Have not had the difference, if any, defined!

Still a point of confusion because of the $275 cooling duct "option" on the GS. Yep my Z51 has the brake ducts but the opening is at the "A" frame NOT in the grill. The Z06 ducts start at the gill.
