2017 Grand Sport
Was one of the first GS owners in the country. Produced first day of production July 7. Really enjoy knowing my vin # ends in 0000084.But with the discounts given today plus 2000 loyalty did I do the right thing. For resale what good will the low vin get me. Love the Torch red car, just hurts to see low pricing today.

Low Vin# will get you nothing extra on resale. I suggest you enjoy your GS and forget about low prices, depreciation, etc. You got it, now drive it and enjoy it.

I agree with dvilin.
But, what you did get was 7-8 months of owning and driving pleasure.

Teddy, when I bought my C7, I got NO discount. My car is #1445 off the line. You can't look backwards or over your shoulder.
Enjoy your car for what it is, not what the price has become.

If you are planning to sell it tomorrow, then I would be bummed out. If you are going to keep and enjoy it then I would not even give it a second thought.
The true value of the Vette is what it means to you.
Life is short don't sweat the details.

I have never had buyers remorse. Treat it like stock-it's not what I paid it's what its worth and will be in the future (and tax implications) when I sell! You got to enjoy it more as did I-stop worrying!

Yea, I'm getting #43 in the Collector's Edition series which is a limited run. I'm not expecting that to do anything special in value. I'd rather not expect it and find out it does something than the other way around. And I will drive it. It won't be a daily driver, but it will get some miles every year that is for sure. I'm not trying to make an investment out of it.
Now I do have the luxury of getting it for very cheap because I won it in the NCM raffle. But it is still costing me money. I am putting Xpel on it as well, so with taxes and all that, I'll probably drop $35k into it at least. So I won't lose money on it for a while I'm thinking, but again, not expecting it to go anywhere special.

Typical price drops for Corvette's. nothing new there. Those that had to be first on the block, could not wait, paid the price. Personally, I do not need to be first on the block, low VIN #, etc. These cars are not collectables, and most likely (at least in our life time) will increase in value. As many say, "it is, what it is", as is the deep discounts that exist and will continue to do so, until the MY18.
