Before you start tearing into your dash check and make sure it isn't your dashboard coming into contact with the windshield and causing a vibration / buzz / rattle noise

My 2016 does this

Check center HVAC vent grills, sun visors, and inside the radio compartment.

Fair enough.

There are a lot of helpful people here, but it helps to be a little more descriptive and try to describe as much as possible about your issue. For example, do you only hear this going over a bump, is it constant, does it only happen when the car is cold, etc., etc?

The more you can describe the symptoms of any issue you notice, the more likely you are of getting good advice.

Welcome again!

Now you're getting somewhere! Windshield replacement is the prime suspect. Contact whomever did that.

Thank you, going forward I will do that, it's pretty much all the time, the level of noise varys though. Sometimes while idling

Sounds good ,thanks, the dealer looked at the windshield afterwards, seemed tight in place

It may be tight in place, but it may not have been aligned properly and is rubbing against the dash. A fraction of an inch can make a big difference.

The good news is, if it's the windshield rubbing against the dash, it can be removed and re-installed properly.

I don't blame you, I guess it just depends upon how much it bugs you. I'd still take it to a dealer ride along with them, and demonstrate the rattle so it's documented.

^^^ Will do, of course won't be using it much till spring. It's probably due to the replacement, logging off tonight. It's just annoying on a brand new car, 3 weeks and something blew off a truck and cracked it, kind of ruined my day

I also had an annoying rattle that suddenly started. It sounded like it was coming from the dash center area, but could not pin point it. I looked for it for 2 days and finally found that the passenger side sun visor was not snapped into its holder. Doh!! Popped it back in and --- no more rattle. Sometime the simplest solution is the best.

i had this issue it comes from the air vent in the middle and the top of the vent, there is a bolt that hits the inside plastic of the dashboard. i took it to the dealer and they replaced the cair vent and i put a little piece of frost king mat inside the dash where the bolt was and the rattle noise was gone.

Check the mounting brackets on sun visors. Mine had this.

Carl, I was going to say check the sun visor, but was beaten to the punch. Good luck.
