Default Picked it up yesterday!!

Well, my factory-ordered Torch Red 2017 Stingray 2LT (7M, of course) coupe arrived yesterday. I drove it home and it is resting quietly in my garage. Won't get to take it out again until at least tomorrow afternoon or evening. This is my first Corvette and the car is amazing!

It has all of about 120 miles on it. Too tired from working 13 1/2 hours today at my job......so I just opened the door to the garage and stared at it. Is that normal for a Corvette owner? LOL!

Definitely need to figure out more about this car - it has so many features on it. The 7spd manual is nice, but I kept going from 5th to 6th and accidentally got 4th several times. You almost have to 'pull' it slightly to the right. No problem with getting any other gears wrong. Seventh is so tall that it is useless below 70 mph. Clutch feels a lot like the one I had in my four Mustang GT coupes and I only stalled it ONCE when sitting in traffic. Not bad, I guess.

Going to be pretty easy on it until I pass 500 miles and then will still take it gradually further until I reach 1,500 miles. Definitely love this car! Kudos to Mike Furman at Criswell Chevrolet for helping me put the deal together to get the EXACT car that I wanted.

Can't believe that I am now an OFFICAL Corvette owner! Wahoo!

^^^ Congrats!! Definitely normal to stare at it in the garage. Especially with the winter weather and all the salt on the road. You'll get used to the gears in no time. Great color choice, by the way!

My C7 has 400 miles on it. Picked it up 2 Jan 17. Drove it home from Maryland, and it snowed the next day. Only had it out twice. Come on spring. Oh, it's a mike Furman car too.

Nice color. Glad you got the memo.

People buy this car in colors besides Torch Red. No I am not making that up, it's true.

Also, I covet your factory blacked out grill.

Glad ya like it. I did that "Black Carbon Flash" package for $100 -- since I did not want a red Corvette that looked as though it is wearing a retainer. LOL!

It also changed the little sting ray emblem on the side from silver to black. This was a MUST HAVE option with the black wheels.

Even after 2 1/2 years, I still go to the garage every night before turning in just to look at my Stingray. BTW, you have no idea how much you're going to love your car!
