Man Pays Corvette Sales Tax in Pennies

$150? The blue ones a hundred each, black ones at least $50, so at least $550. Wonder if he paid the sales tax on them in pennies too Think about the time and effort he spent securing all those pennies
His time would have been better spent calling the governor and fighting the tax, at least in theory BTW is this an annual tax or the sales tax on new?

They dont have sales tax but they do charge a yearly reg fee based on the value of the car that comes out to be more than the excise tax i used to pay when I lived in Mass. You only realize the benefit when dont get nailed with a second excise tax a few months later. So he would pay roughly the same to register that vette.

I, for one, applaud the man. Peaceful civil disobedience is a dying art and should be exercised often.
I just wonder how stupid people have become when they need a calculator to determine that 300,000 pennies = $3,000.00. What is moving the decimal point two positions to the left to divide by 100 really that difficult to do?

That DB must be forced to roll those coins.
Is this story really worthy of being posted on the CF homepage? The CF "Editors" are horrible.

OK I decided. I like the Admiral blue wheelbarrows with the low profile tire and painted gray rims over the base black models.
Especially like the optional black handles with color matched grips.
The biggest problem is I think he has exceeded the new wheelbarrow break in by going to max weight.
I wonder how he paid the dealer.

3 letters best describe that guy--
first you get an N then you match it with a U and then add a T.

5th grade math... I would know, I had to teach it
Reminds me of when I went to Home Depot to get some paint... I asked the lady helping me for paint that would cover bare wood and seal it from water at the same time. She asked how big the surface was that I was painting. I told her about 6' by 3' and she proceeds to take out her phone, open the calculator app, push a few buttons, and says "so about 18 square feet" ...
I'm jealous! I paid almost $7,000 in tax when I bought my car out in the crazy republic of California. I really need to move.
