$150? The blue ones a hundred each, black ones at least $50, so at least $550. Wonder if he paid the sales tax on them in pennies too Think about the time and effort he spent securing all those pennies
His time would have been better spent calling the governor and fighting the tax, at least in theory BTW is this an annual tax or the sales tax on new?

They dont have sales tax but they do charge a yearly reg fee based on the value of the car that comes out to be more than the excise tax i used to pay when I lived in Mass. You only realize the benefit when dont get nailed with a second excise tax a few months later. So he would pay roughly the same to register that vette.

I just wonder how stupid people have become when they need a calculator to determine that 300,000 pennies = $3,000.00. What is moving the decimal point two positions to the left to divide by 100 really that difficult to do?
I stop at a Chevron Mini Mar t every morning on the way to the gym to buy a newspaper to read on the Lifecycle: $2.18. I gave a bozo behind the counter $5.18 last week and he couldn't figure out the correct change. He had to use a calculator. Now that's stupid!.

That has got to be the most moronic justification ever.

I do, for that very reason. Having the exact change minimizes my interaction with these dimwits. Think about it.

If it's so moronic, as you put it, then surely you can destroy the point with pure logic...

Wonder why you haven't tried...

Oh yeah, because it makes total logical sense that's why!

Except screwing with the person at the front door doesn't really address whatever issue he had. I doubt the person that took the cash was the person that caused the issue he had.

That DB must be forced to roll those coins.

Is this story really worthy of being posted on the CF homepage? The CF "Editors" are horrible.

A little bummed there were no Blade Silver wheelbarrows. I believe they are very low production. I think it's a worthy statement to make-nobody likes taxes. If the US can become more productive, and gov't can use taxpayer money more wisely, we can see some reductions...

3 letters best describe that guy--

first you get an N then you match it with a U and then add a T.

Total white trash. He went through all the effort to collect and transport all those pennies and ended up wasting more of his own time doing so.

Reminds me of when I went to Home Depot to get some paint... I asked the lady helping me for paint that would cover bare wood and seal it from water at the same time. She asked how big the surface was that I was painting. I told her about 6' by 3' and she proceeds to take out her phone, open the calculator app, push a few buttons, and says "so about 18 square feet" ...

I'm jealous! I paid almost $7,000 in tax when I bought my car out in the crazy republic of California. I really need to move.
