Wilkes Barre, PA Come on down**Delivery Post 2/4/17 Mike Furman at Criswell~Pic HEAVY
~For those of you that don't know me..."Hi, my name is Mike Furman and I am a Corvette-aholic." The first step is to admit it. I have been addicted since I first saw the 1978 Corvette Indy 500 Pace Car featured in the magazine section of the High School Library Spring 1978. Late that Summer is when I started selling Corvette's and the rest is history. I have now owned 18 Corvettes (and 44 Musclecars) but please don't ask which was my favorite as I have never seen a Corvette that I haven't liked. I was not going to do a Delivery Post today as yesterday afternoon driving home from work I was rear ended as I sat waiting to make a left hand turn in my 2015 Impala. I assume the guy behind me was texting as I saw him coming and braced for the hit. I'm ok but my addiction for Corvette's has me up at 5am EST sitting at the computer gathering my thoughts and pictures for my fellow Corvette enthusiasts. I usually end my posts with the words "Drive Safe"...and I mean it, texting and driving is not good for anyone.
~Ren and Jeanne S. From Wilkes Barre, PA contacted me Wednesday and I gave him a sight unseen trade value on his 2008 Z06. Ren had picked out from stock the exact Grand Sport he wanted to Factory order. They drove 208 miles down today in the 2008 Z06 and returned in their brand new 2017 Grand Sport Black with Kalahari interior, Auto trans, 2LT pkg and chrome wheels.
~Jeff K. Of Mechanicsville, VA factory ordered his very first Corvette...and this week he drove home in his brand new 2017 Torch Red Stingray Corvette Cpe. Black wheels, Black badges, red calipers with 7spd manual trans with 2LT Pkg. Back in December I had guessed Feb 4th approx delivery and beat that prediction by 3 days. This is one nice guy with a well deserved 1st Corvette...and it's a stunner.
~Ted T. Of Bryans Road, MD came in last Saturday and picked out a Watkins Glen Gray 2017 Grand Sport. Monday he traded his 2016 Black Stingray in and drove away in Grand Sport Style! Heritage pkg, Black wheels, 2LT pkg and much more. His family approved.
~Alan J. Of Bethesda, MD was referred to me by a patient of his and he picked out a 2017 Z06-Z07 with Comp seats, yellow calipers, 7spd manual and much more! Alan didn't even want it cleaned up, that's his fun he said! Two weeks ago someone ran a stop sign and totaled his C6 Z06 which is what led him to by a C7 Z06.
~Dwayne S. From Bowie, MD was referred to me by his fellow Corvette friend Edwin B (Thank you Sir)..Dwayne traded in his Black 2015 Stingray for this Watkins Glen Gray with Kalahari 2017 Grand Sport. 2LT pkg, Auto trans and much more. Dwayne does a ton of charity work and is not shy of driving his Corvettes. His 2015 Stingray had 29,000 miles.
~Shahul U. Of Germantown, MD is the Sales Mgr at a local Mercedes Dealership and one of the other Managers there referred him to me. So 6 weeks ago Shahul factory ordered a 2017 Grand Sport with Z07 Pkg and J57 ceramic brakes, 7spd manual trans and Comp seats. Watkins Glen Gray was the color of choice! Shahul will be headed the track every chance he gets.
~Even had time to Lease my Corvette customers Cleon and Diane their third Jeep! We are in the same Corvette Club. They bought a beauty of a C6 Grand Sport from me a few years ago.
~Several Truck loads of new Corvettes arrived this week.
~Jay Leno visited Spring Mountain in Pahrump, NV last week for a few days of some spirited driving.
***~Throwback picture time...Which is your favorite? ***
~Look for me at the following Corvette Events this year.

Just once again, this week, I like to make a request of forum readers:
GM, should recognize and award their Top Individual Corvette Salesman, whoever it may be, for achievement above and beyond the call of duty.
I've notified member Chevy Cust Svc and request that our forum membership do the same. Simply take a few minutes and request member "Chevy Cust Svc" forward your PM to the CEO of GM requesting that she recognize and award their top individual salesman of the iconic Corvette for the year, whoever it may be, on an annual basis.
Thought I'd catch you all early on bc last week I was late posting.

Sorry about your accident. I've been hit twice, texting both times.
Favorite pictures - I really like the assembly line shots, but Steve McQueen with a big block C2 trumps about anything.
Have a great week!

Epic Mr. Mustang movie car scene guy, Steve McQueen getting into a Corvette Stingray? That's great!
I really like the nighttime shots of the cars---the reflection of the lights on the cars are great.

Drifting
Great seeing me standing by my new C7 in today's pictures (I am Jeff K. from Mechanicsville, VA). I drove it home Wednesday night and put it in the garage. Took it out for a short ride on Friday night and had it out on the road for an hour or so yesterday afternoon. An old buddy from work & my next door neighbor got a ride in it as well. For what it is worth, although I am a friendly guy by nature, having a C7 in the driveway really makes people want to talk to you.
My 18-year-old son saw it in the garage when he came over here after he got off work at 3am Saturday - a total surprise to him! He got a ride in it yesterday and he will ONLY be in the passenger seat because he never learned how to drive a stick-shift when he had a chance to learn on my old Nissan Sentra that I sold in 2015.
I find myself opening the door to the garage just to stare at this beautiful car. I hope that is a normal thing for Corvette owners. If it isn't, maybe it is because this is my first one. Ever since my son and I visited the NCM when on vacation in 2013, I had hoped that SOMEDAY I would be fortunate enough to own one of these fine automobiles.
I'm going to take it out this afternoon for a spin - and will probably wash and dry it (with very gentle micro-fiber towels) before putting it inside the garage for the night. As Mike Furman recommended, I will hook up the battery protector tonight. I am not sure if I will get a chance to drive it until next weekend. My 2015 Nissan Altima is my 'daily driver' and now has to go back outside. No doubt it might be jealous of the C7. LOL!
I always love the Sunday morning photos posted by Mr. Furman..........but it is an honor to be included this week. :-)

Mike, so glad you were not injured and that you were not in you '67!!! Love all of your posts! Looks like it was split window day today! Lots of them! Marcie and I will be at the Daytona 500 with the common people, not VIP's like you! Ha! Enjoy!!!

I don't see it ever happening, but I would love to take out a 1967 Corvette for a spin around the county and then drive my 2017 on the same route. Afterwards, park them side by side for a photo shoot.
Have a catered steak dinner with entertainment by Hooters girls and the day would be complete!
