Default Arkansas; no safety inspection; no emissions test...

If your state had no safety inspections and no emissions test what would you do to your exhausts, if anything?

Depends on what exhaust your car came with.

I ran open headers and a 18" turn down pipe on my cammed C6 GS here at 72210 for almost two years before trading it for the C7Z. I never had a LEO stop me. The car sure garnered a lot of attention.

FWIW! I'm not altering the LT4. It already makes sweet music.

I live here in Arkansas. Love it!!! I left my NPP the way it came from the factory. I guess I'm not one for drag strip noise, I love the sound it makes stock.

Mine is a Florida car as well. Easy decision when it comes with NPP, despite the freedom provided by lack of inspections.

You guys are so lucky! I Pennsylvania old people thinking prevails, we have a safety inspection and emissions testing. What a waste of time and money. I have no desire to modify my car's exhaust system.

In Michigan we can do basically whatever we want. On my C7 I have no desire to change the stock NPP. I had Corsa Sports on my GTO, C6, and I'm putting an MBRP on my Focus ST.

I'm in Arkansas as well. Recent implant from South Carolina. Neither has inspections. The S550 Mustang GT I had before I straight piped the cats with catback MBRP exhaust. It got old after a while, but did sound damn good when you wanted to be loud. That said, I'm keeping my NPP exhaust for now. Maybe a Borla X pipe down the road.

Default I would never.....

........remove the catalytic converters; as much as I enjoy her I must take into account that "footprint" and leaving those converters on, helps allay those concerns; otherwise, if I had the dough I'd be doing a Borla, Corsa, etc. but a bit rich for me at this point as I get closer to retiring (and don't get me started on the cost of tires....)

I'm in the SF Bay Area. In my 20 years of driving, I've never needed a smog check or had a car inspected. On the performance cars which I've ever decided to modify, I've removed the cats.

No inspections/tests in Oregon and have no desire to change anything.
