I had the heritage stripes added to my car on Wednesday I'm not sure if I love them or if I need to replace the hood vent?
I had planed to replace the hood vent however after seeing the install I may have changed my mind I really like the Carbon Flash vent but I'm not sure if it looks right. My family all says leave it alone they like it this way.


My wife loves it!





Even the dogs like it.


I can order a painted vent for about $230 so it's not a big deal, I just don't know if I really want to change it. What do you think, should it stay or should it go? Thanks for the input!

Personally I like exactly how the car looks and I intended on ordering/buying that exact color and look. When it came down to it I bought a Z06 instead but I'd leave it alone.

I like the look with the hood vent painted white. To me, the current look has an abrupt cut off between the white stinger stripe and carbon flash hood vent. I think those two areas should be the same color. I also think GM should have extended the white stripe further down the front bumper for their Heritage Package similar to the C4 Grand Sport, but that's just me.

Your call, for me I do not like the white stripe at all. I would prefer all blue with the heritage hash stripes only.

It looks nice the way it is now. If you replace the hood vent, what would you do with the roof and rear stripes then? (leave them?)

I also have a new Admiral Blue Grand Sport and have been considering the same stripes. I would leave it as is. Your mirrors, skirts, emblems, and spoiler are carbon flash so it ties in nice.

I think you can't go wrong either way. I like both looks. You have a more unique look right now as most cars built with that paint scheme will have the white vent.

While the car is covered for the Winter my wife made it clear she wants me to change the vent to white. I guess I will be ordering one soon, I doubt the car will see the road before I have a chance to swap it out. I may remove it and try to plasti dip spray it first. After all I have about three months to play and get it right.

I think I would leave it as is for a while and see just how well you like it. You can always change it up if you decide on the white hood vents.

The bold white stripe is a throw back to early Grand Sport of back in the day. I'm old school so I like it. I would leave the black vents as they are. Enjoy your ride. Looks great.

My wife said she thinks she likes it better with the white vent so I ordered it. I haven't told her yet I figured it would be a surprise.

I plan on installing white stinger stripe on my torch red and changing hood vent to white.

I happen to like black stripes on the red and then you can leave the exciting vent.
