Paramus Chevrolet just modernized the sales floors and service areas, but the bones of the building are still Konner Chevrolet. When I take my car there for service, it's cool to know that Zora Duntov walked those halls.

Love those old Konner photos....and I really like that Sterling Blue and Kalahari interior....sharp. This week's photo collection "takes the cake."

Again, thanks for the photos and the trips down memory lane.

It's funny to look at those old photos of everyone with big hair. Believe it or not, I had a thick mane back in the early 1980s - before I went to Army basic training, that is.

** OFF TOPIC **

Hey Mike Furman!

I remember you mentioning Adam's polishes and that anyone who bought a Corvette through you was supposed to get an introductory offer from them. Any idea just what that was? I am planning on putting my first coat of good wax on my new C7 sometime next month.

I have heard others here mention them as having some pretty good stuff.

Thanks!

Yes and I handed you a gift certificate when you took delivery for said Adams Polishes offer. If you have mis placed it just give me a call on Tuesday. No worries.

Thanks. I will go look for it. If I can't find it by Tuesday, I will reach out to you.

By the way, I got my title from DMV yesterday. I also got a postcard saying my plates were at your front desk for me to pick up anytime. I'm a bit far away for that, though.

Any chance you can snail-mail them to me? I have until April 1st to affix them, so no hurry.

iGracias!

WOW! Thanks for such a great stroll through some significant Corvette history! I guess you have to take next week off because you'd be hard pressed to outdo this post and we'll be going through withdrawals so we won't care what you post the following week. Thanks, again, for taking time to do this each week!

No need to spend the FedEx money. You can snail mail them. I don't need them until prior to April 1st. But THANK YOU!!

Great post as usual.

I was at a few of the Malcolm Konner shows and 1 Corvette guy who doesn't get that much recognition is Larry Shinoda who designed the C2 Sting Ray. He was at the 94 show along with Zora.

Thank you for the great read Mike...

Have a great time at the race, lots of video (if you don't have a youtube channel make one and upload the videos from your phone to free space), lots of pics as we all would love to share in the excitement of that trip!

I know in mentioned it before, but Malcolm Konner Chevrolet was my first glimpse of makes "Corvette" so special when a friend and i took a ride there from Staten Island in his C4 Coupe. the second floor Corvette Showroom and parking area were amazing. just very cool and something i'd never seen before.

As for the sterling Blue pair of Z06's? That's going to be one of those rare pics decades from now someone looks back on and says to themselves "wow, didn't think they even made many of those but two being delivered at same place same time?" lol they look great. thankfully we have a nice variety of colors for our cars otherwise they'd all be red, black and white

PS. Any chance you could have those home videos of the road trip from the St. Louis Plant on to Youtube?

Mike,

A tremendous history you have been a part of, with Malcolm & Gary Konner Family Chevrolet.

I'm especially intrigued with the 1959 Malcolm Konner Chevrolet junket travel tour, to and from St. Louis, MO. in order to fetch their new Corvettes.

Mr Konner was way ahead for his time. Just think, the Corvette was only 6 years old when he chartered a plane to fly all his customers to St Louis to drive back from the Plant!
