Default Adam's Polishes

Well, on advice of Mike Furman (and his discount gift card he gave me as part of ordering my Corvette through him), I decided to bite the bullet and order some cleaning supplies for my new Stingray.

I bought a can of the "Patriot Wax" which got very good reviews, a nice wheel brush for cleaning away brake dust -- and their leather interior cleaner.

In a few days, I should find my new box of goodies at my front door. If time permits, my fiberglass baby will get her first wax job next weekend.

I've been a strong ADAM'S customer for years.... good stuff !!!

Don't forget to get some "Detail Spray"..... I buy it by the gallon. Their high end microfiber towels are outstanding as well.

My problem with Adams products is that there are too many overlapping selections. I have gone to their site numerous times and put things in the shopping cart only to walk away without buying anything. Buttery vs. Americana vs patriot wax; should I use the detail spray or the h20 guard; multiple products for wheels and windows; and what about glazes and sealants???

I use their car shampoo, detailer, Brilliant Glaze and Buttery Wax. These are all great products.

This is 100% true. They frequently add new products but rarely discontinue older ones so many of their products are made to do the same thing. Buttery Wax was great until they released Americana, which was then the best...until Patriot came out, because now THAT'S the best, except you can still buy both of the other 2, in addition to several types of sealants, spray on, wipe on, aerosol, etc.. all of which are the best too...they even have a paint coating (or 2) now. Then you have several glass cleaners and sealants, several tire shines and trim shines, etc.

They usually tell you that you can use the stuff "with" each other so they don't rule out buying it all. Their stuff is good, and selection is good, but much of it redundant. They are great at marketing.

Most of their products have a video explaining how to use the product and what it is for. Take the waxes for example. Butter is a liquid wax, easy on, easy off, good shine. When you get into the past waxes, they are a bit more work to put on and off and a bit more expensive. The Patriot was would primarily be for a show car to get that hard deep show car shine.

It does take a bit of reading and sometimes watching the videos to be able to understand what the intent of the product is. They are also continuing to attempt to improve their product line so you will see new car shampoo for example. New polishes and compounds. I use up what I have before I more the new ones.

I used to use Zaino and swapped over to Adams a few years ago. Adams is awesome, especially with their videos. But I must say, like the others, they are always coming out with new products and never discontinue the others and this leaves you with an overwhelming feeling of which one to pick.

And as also mentioned, should have gotten the detail spray. I get it every year when they come out with the pumpkin spice scented and I use it like a maniac.

I have a bottle or two of Adams products...

I probably have about 4 or 5 more gallons since this picture was taken. Rinseless Wash, Deep wheel cleaner, tire shine, under carriage spray...My favorite is H2O Guard and Gloss...I also have their Foam Gun...A little Garage Therapy

I love the collection of cars in that garage.......but I have to admit that the 1964 Biscayne caught my eye. At first glance, I thought it was an Impala - but then saw that it had only two tail lamps rather than three. (That mans Biscayne or BelAir, of course.)

P.S. They used to call them "Bis-Quick" because they were a tad lighter than the Impala and made for excellent sleeper cars.
