Ron Fellows - Spring Mountain
Hi All,
Just got back from the Ron Fellows / Spring Mountain Corvette Owner's School. If you have an opportunity to do this with the purchase of your new 2016 or 2017 Vette - DO IT!!! I can't say enough about the school. The facility, staff, amenities, accommodation - all 5 star. It is definitely Disneyland for Corvette owners!

We had awesome weather in the mid 70's although we had to delay one morning because it was only 29F at 6:45 when we went for breakfast. What an amazing experience though. I've been driving (fast!) for many years and used to race 30 years ago. This course opened my eyes so much, I'm a much better driver now than before.

The instructor's made some many eye opening examples that made me what more.
Can't wait to go back, and really use the PDR with more knowledge.

Glad you had great weather. I was there last Fri-Sat (Feb 17-18), and we had very different weather!! It rained both days - here's a look at running the track in the rain:
It was actually very good to have the great Spring Mt instructors giving you tips on driving a slightly different wet line - one main thing was to stay off the painted curbing areas.
During the Rolex 24 this year they ran about 10 hours of the race in the rain!!
It wasn't bad running with the windows closed, but most track events make you run with the windows open, so you and the interior of the car get all wet. If it rains at events in the future, and I can run with the windows closed, I plan to get out on the track in wet conditions. Unfortunately there's only one HPDE organization that I run with each year that allows closed windows, and that's the event at Daytona each year in Dec.
