Should I be concerned....
Should I be concerned if I'm buying a GS with a low serial number (1689) that it has been sitting out in the cold since delivered to the dealer and might have tire issues? Hasn't GM made at least 15,000 GS's by now?

I would not be concerned. Owners store their cars in unheated garages up to 6 months in cold weather with no tire issues.

Sitting in the cold isn't the issue driving in extreme cold is the issue. I drive mine 40' and above on clear roads only.........Quitting cold turkey driving my vette is so hard to do. I received my Z06 in March 2015 no tire issues then or now.

One thing to consider with these cars is an aftermarket tire and wheel warranty. I don't usually get them but with these cars they can pay for themselves pretty quickly based on the roads I drive on....

^^ This winter has been a winter without winter weather. Almost no snow and temps way above normal. Oh no, is Al Gore right?

^^^ Good to know because the car I'm buying has been at the dealer since August.

RM,
Off topic, but where is that picture under your screen name? Antietam?

When we bought our 2009, I had the choice of two absolutely identical cars with almost consecutive VINs, except one had been on the main lot and was moved around weekly (still had only 7 miles on the odometer). The other one had been sitting at the storage lot the whole time.
The stored car needed the battery replaced. When I test drove it for several miles, the engine was rougher, tires lumpy, brakes pulled, etc.
Maybe that would eventually be ok, but I picked the one that had been moved. Got an oil change before leaving for home.

^^^ They told me that they rotate the cars in and out of the showroom so I'm hoping it will be ok. It's being shipped to my house in AZ so anything that might be wrong with it will have to be covered under warranty. I've dealt with my salesman before when I purchased my 2014 and I know he will make sure everything is ok before it goes on the truck.

We're spending Feb-Mar in Chandler to get away from the Chicago winter, which right now seems to be just as warm as Arizona.

Could be, but he lives very close to the Antietam National Battlefield, which has similar memorials. That was the first Confederate incursion into the north, 10 months before Gettysburg. The Battle of Antietam holds the distinction of being the bloodiest one-day battle in US history w/ 23,000 killed.

^^^ Yep..... been there MANY times. We have a niece who had a really cool historic home built in 1800 outside of Boonsboro and was on a creek that ran through Antietam. She had her pottery studio there as well. We had many a great time out there. She is now at Cascade, MD on top of the mountain.
