Default Wraps, paint, just more questions!

Hello again Corvette friends,

Had nowhere to go last night, drove to my husbands work so I could drive the car... tee hee.

Anyway, I would like the spoiler and the mirrors black on the Corvette. is that something that the dealer can still do? Is it paint or a wrap? Honestly I would like to blackout the entire hood and back end too. Probably more as a wrap than something permanent, is that pretty expensive?

I have attached pics here of a car I almost bought, but it was a 1LT. It however had the blacked out paint job. (I know it's not for everyone, but this is my little baby Corvette.)

I would look to a wrap shop for that I think. You'd need to talk with them and point out the sections you wanted done to see if they could do it. Go to a place with very good references in working on cars like this.

I believe in some spots, with the clear wrap, like the seam in the front fender they would not wrap that seam so there would be a edge there. Not sure how it would be done with a color wrap if it does not pass a seam. Other areas like hoods of course, they can wrap under so you would not see the edge.

I would just have the parts wrapped. It'll look good and if you get tired of it, you can easily go back.

Kels,

You should be able wrap the areas you identified for $1K give or take.

Cool thanks everyone, sounds like wrapping is the way to go. I will have to look for some reputable places here in West Michigan!

You may want to talk to Graphiti Wraps in Muskegon. I spoke with him about wrapping my car in Xpel and seemed pretty knowledgable. I ended having the Xpel installed by the dealer so I don't have actual experience with them.
