Grand Sport brake question
I'm in the middle of working a deal on a new GS. My 2015 Stingray Z51 was one that had the slow roll brake squeal problem. Has this been resolved on the new Vettes?

Not sure about that, but are you ordering or working a deal with one on a lot? I ask because there are issues getting some of the brakes (J56, standard GS brakes, not the Z07) on orders right now due to constraints. So if you haven't ordered yet, it may be challenging to get the car before they shut down production this year, or so I hear.

Had the OEM pads about a year when I switched to Carbotech 1521's to get rid of the dust. Never a bit of noise with those in 2 1/2 years.
Sold my September 2013 built C7 Z51 this week and ordered a new GS. Plan to put on Carbotech 1521's as soon as it comes in. Will take it easy on the brakes untill after the 500 mile oil change. Then will apply them aggressively to get some uniform pad transfer to the rotors but won't fully bed unless I hear noise.

My question: I have the 2017 Corvette Grand Sport and was wondering which replacement pads you have for my car. Your web site search only shows 2017 Camaros. I'm thinking the Power stop
Z26-1405 Front, Z26-1718 Rear will work since I see several posts on the corvette forum using these for 2016 year models and I would like your advice on this.
Their Response: "Thank you for your interest in Powerstop!
The part numbers listed do work for 2016 models but first I’d just need you to confirm if you have the J57 package? If you do have the J57 package with ceramic brakes then It looks like your front pads would actually be D1395 which is currently not available and the rear would be D1165 which we only have available in our Z23 series at this time.
If you DO NOT have the J57 package then the part numbers you listed above would fit your vehicle. Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns."
Ok from my research J57 are for the carbon ceramic rotors and the J56 are for the iron rotors(That's what's on my GS)
Hope this helps

I did bed the pads just as described. The brakes smelled when I was done with the process. Once they cooled off, I've had zero issues with noise and far, far less dust. Two thumbs up for the Z26 padss.
I had the Carbotech 1521's on my '15 w/ Z51 package. The Carbotech are goods pads too but I like the Z26's just fine and they are less expensive.
