sometimes i can't get out of PARK, but soon does? anybody else have that issue?

Make sure you have the brake pedal firmly applied or it won't allow a shift out of Park. You may try releasing and then pushing the brake pedal again to see if that helps and if so there may be an issue with the switch that controls this interlock system.

Are you parked on a fairly steep slope by chance? The park pawl that mechanically locks the output shaft in these is fairly robust since the same basic transmission is used in many applications including GM's full size pickups where it has to hold a much heavier load. With all of my automatic transmission vehicles when I park on a slope I engage the parking brake before shifting into park and shift into drive or reverse as appropriate before releasing the brake.

at least i'll know what may be the cause before i take into the dealer.
it must be that switch.
