Pothole 1, Chinese wheel 0.
Drove to NoVA last week and got off of I-66 at the Falls Church exit 69 and squarely connected with a pothole on the ramp. Took out my front right wheel. Surprisingly, the tire remained seated and did not lose air. These were cheap Chinese knockoffs that I run in the winter with A/S runflats. Will be interesting to see if I can buy a single matching replacement.

Would most tire shops be able to do a repair?
No, google "wheel repair".

I have a wheel shop that has repaired a couple of wheels (not Corvette
) for me due to Detroit area potholes. I saw wheels much worse than this in the shop to be repaired.

The runflats have such stiff sidewalls that a lot of the energy is transferred to the rim and this is the result. There is a good wheel repair place in MD over in the Laurel area, I think. You may well be able to have it repaired. Good luck.

It may indeed be repairable, but since it *is* a cheap knockoff, and depending on repair cost, *might* be better to replace.
IDK what such a repair would cost, but for example -- personally I'd feel better spending $200 for a new wheel than $100 for a badly bent & "repaired" one, where the resulting structural integrity would always be nagging at my mind.

Your right but I have had many. What happens (ME) the whole rim takes a hit like a car does. I find it's never right but you guys are the experts.
