Default Mixing tires

The front tires on my car wore out around 12k and replaced them at that point. The rears saw less use as I had drag radials on for 4k. Now I'm ready for replacements, but the newer Michilen 4S tires are out. Is there any issue with mixing the older SS runflats up front with the non-runflat 4S on the back? Would prefer to buy 2 tires instead of 4.

I would match the them. Would you play basketball with one clete and one water shoe on?

I get what you are saying in spirit, but not sure it's the best analogy. The more that I think about this, I have run drag radials on the rear for long periods of time and not had a problem and that's mixing compound, sidewall, inflation and a ton of different things into the equation. Going from a worn down Michelin PSS on the rear to a new Michellin PS4 isn't that extreme.
