Unintended Traction Control disengagement - Solution needed
I find that my right arm/elbow frequently comes into contact (I have a 7 speed) with the traction control button resulting in unintended disabling of TC.
Is anybody aware of a solution (i.e. perhaps a cover of some type).
The placement of the **** could be better. Perhaps the issue has been addressed in later models (I have a 2014 C7 Z51 but now have a Z06 on order).
Thanks for any recommendations on how to resolve.

Interesting. Have you tried to position your arm a little bit to the right? I have manual also and this never happened to me. But then again, I don't work out so my arm is not very muscular lol.

It's an intermittent issue that would require constant vigilance to keep the arm from knocking the button.
While having TC knocked off is just a "PIA" on the Z51, migrating shortly to the Z06 with the additional power am concerned an unintended TC disengagement could be more consequential.

I've never had this happen and can't think of a solution other than move your friggin arm lol
(other than the more drastic solution of amputation )

Don't move your arm around so much and keep your elbow away from the center of the switch. If this is happening while shifting use your hand more than your arm. The stock shifter can be moved through the gears with couple of fingers and flicks of the wrist requiring almost no arm movement.

How did he modify his car?

you are totally right. My bad. For some reason I thought somebody suggested to him to install the short shifter! I really hate reading and replying from my iPhone's watered down Safari browser from now on I'll stick to the iPad or computer!!

Stop hitting it with your arm, that should do it.

I have this problem sometimes at the strip when I am slamming gears. In my case, I have the nannies off and hitting it turns them back on. Oh well
