I agree. I also agree that you waited, Frodo, until he looked and acted responsible. Yeh it was a long wait, but he's gonna be a good one. I can tell by the smile on his face (and yours).

Shorty??? does it show? He's 6'1... obviously didn't get that from me.

He's been warned by friends who know... NOT to drink to excess during basic. His Mom says no drink whatsoever.

His other Grandpa lives in San Antonio so he'll have some guidance if and when he can find time to seek it out.

I don't really know if they get leave, just retelling what I was told. What I know about military life wouldn't fill a thimble.

My son is an Air Force Captain and pilot. He is at Lackland right now for some training. Will be home Friday for a few days. Then back to California. You should be proud, I know I am.
