If it's going to be another GM clone SUV with a Corvette nameplate, then "no", I wouldn't want to see the Corvette name used on a "me too" SUV.
If it's going to be a stand-alone performance SUV, priced reasonably, I'm all for it and would support it.
We just bought an SUV. Didn't consider the Porsche because of the extremely high maintenance/repair costs and a steep depreciation rate. Also, not really interested in any vehicle associated with the VW financial mess. So we settled for a boring but reliable Lexus.

Would rather they leave the Corvette as it is - no SUV needed.

if it was an SUV it wouldn't be a Corvette, just as the Aerowagon is not a Corvette.

It would simply be a re-badging of a GM SUV.
Cadillac did the design work on everything except the LT4.
IMO, it is no Corvette and wasn't supposed to be.

The CTS-V has been called the " 4 Door Corvette" and it did come in a station wagon version thru 2011, when it was discontinued. Some loved the looks and versatility of it, while many others could never get warmed up to it ( I had a 2012 CTS-V A6 Sedan and loved the looks of it). The Dodge Magnum never made it either and GM needs to be careful not to bring out an "Aztec" looking item that has recently come to market as a corvette offering.
As others have pointed out, there is the CTS-V and ATS-V out there that could be brought out in an SUV version to tap the Macan/Cayenne market if GM wanted to go in that direction.

I know GM has done at least a prototype.
When I did R8C on my C5, they took me into a couple not open to the public storage areas.
There was a Corvette station wagon on one of rooms.
IIRC, it was was a Delta88 body....nondescript beige, fake wood panel exterior.
Corvette engine, C4 wheels with corvette logo center caps...believe some additional badging...

Just what the world needs, another 4000 plus SUV zipping in and out of traffic with moronic drivers who think these behemoths can stop on an instant as they ride on my Corvette's *** on the interstate in the pouring rain! Really? I've seen more of these turkeys flipped over & stuck in the weeds than I ever care to count and who knows how many people hurt.

I find it amusing that so many are hung up on semantics. One minute everyone's arguing about what constitutes a Corvette "model" (Stingray, Z51, GS, Z06), and the next minute, it's blasphemy to consider something with a different body shape that carries the Corvette name. It's all just words.
It might well be a smart decision to consider marketing the Corvette name as a brand," not a collection of "sub-models" under the Chevrolet brand. That's exactly what Porsche did so successfully. There are probably a lot of people who would purchase a "Corvette" SUV/SAV, who would not purchase a Chevy, Buick, or GMC SUV.
Even though Jaguar and Land Rover are the same company, Jaguar introduced a new SUV, the F-Pace, which has significantly increased their market share, while not hurting Land Rover's sales.
