Just got done watching the CBS program "Sunday Morning" out here on the West Coast.

Great interview with legendary sports broadcaster and sports commentator Vern Lundquist from his home high atop Steamboat Springs, Colorado.

So......what is the link here to Furman,
you ask?

Quote from Vern in the interview...... " It is better to be lucky than good; best to be both".

Thanks for another great week Mike.
I really like the mid-year with the rear seats. Must have been considering the seats as an option.

I was wondering when someone would bring that up. Looks to be some Swedish publication. DId you read some of the other info on that cover? FART means SPEED in Swedish.

When I was in college, FART referred to "Friday Afternoon Recreational Time" at the fraternity house.

P.S. By the way, if you drive in Germany, you will see signs for "Einfart" and "Ausfart" on the Autobahn. They basically mean 'enter' and 'exit'. (In the Army, one meant passing gas indoors and the other meant you broke wind outside.)

Yeah I was wondering why virtually everybody had jackets on except Mike@Criswell with 83* yesterday up your way. Our local NWFLdailynews paper today had a HUGE story by Jason Samenow The Washington Post of all places. Titled Freakish Warm Gulf of Mexico Concerns Experts.

FART in Swedish means SPEED. Now it all makes sense.

Glad we cleared that up.

^ ^ ^ The FART car

That's my pick for the throwback of the week. First and foremost a very colorful beautiful SWC. So red it almost looks Porsche Red like mine was. Driven and occupied by two handpicked stewardess w/a huge smile on their face. Being driven right next to a commercial jet at an airport. An iconic PanAm Airline no less. A company that was born in 1927 and died in 1991.

A great pic for all those reasons. You're not going to ever see that combo anymore. Although I have a weakness for all SWC's I want to give the other SWC in Saddle Tan a rest at 2nd place since I picked it last week for #1. A great shot I agree. My third pick is watching the oilfield on fire from the hill. So many good ones again this week.

Mike - wondering...Did you call about that blue 67 @ 377-7223? Is that the one you bought from the classified shown?
