Melting Slicks
Hey OP, welcome to the forum! If you get a C7, I think you'll really like it - a lot! We purchased a '15, and then got a '17. A couple of thoughts:
* Don't 'settle' for anything - color, options, anything. If you do, you'll regret it later.
* Make a list of options and color combinations that are divided into 'must have', 'would like', and 'don't care'. Then take a look at dealer inventory (we purchased both of ours sight unseen from forum dealers with outstanding results) and make sure the cars you narrow down include all your 'must haves'.
* True that you can get a cheaper price on '16s, but that doesn't necessarily make them a 'better deal', especially if it's not exactly what you want or would really like. Remember that anything you buy is a used car the second you drive it off the lot. A '17 is a 'current year used car', and a '16 is a year older and will always be so from a depreciation standpoint until it doesn't make much difference down the road in 8-10 years or so.
* Get what you want/can afford and go have some fun!!!
Good luck to you, and we would like to know and have pics when you get your new C7.

Thanks again for everyone taking the time to respond. The C7 I am looking at is also my top color choice in Admiral Blue. I like a lot of the colors on the C7, but that Admiral Blue looks incredible to me.

I have not pulled the trigger yet. I like the finance rate of the 2016, but I am wondering if I shouldn't wait for a deal on a 2017 when those rates improve. Hard to beat 0%. When will the 2017 likely go to promo rates?

Dude....get that 2017 Admiral Blue. As long as you're OK with the limited options on the 1LT, the next picture we should see from you is with you in the drivers seat of that beautiful car.
Get it before it's gone!

I'd go with the Admiral Blue one now, if it were me. Waiting on the new ones and the price to be in the same as this might just be next year this time. And that is one year later of enjoying the drives that you could have right now. We are just getting into the best season for having a vette, and you could even have it before the bash, IMHO. Good luck with your decision and happy motoring to you!
