Dang, crappy day-just crashed my new race drone into my C7
I just got my Floureon 250 race drone in the mail. Waited all day after work to fly it. It was pretty windy so I decided to take it to a park with not many trees. I start flying it really good in the first mode no problems so I switch to mode 2 where you can roll and flip. Did a couple flips couple of rolls and having a blast. The I did a back flip and the wind caught it really hard and it flew right into the most expensive glass I think there is on the c7 that little triangle glass. SMACK shattered the sucker. The drone bounced off and flew into a fence 70 yards away. The battery was out of it but no visable damage. Tough little bastard. Then I look at my car and the triangle glass is shattered. Called safelight 800 dollars to fix that little piece of glasss. Guy told me to try a junk yard.
Not only is my glass farked in my vette the drone would not arm either. Lights came on but the motors would not turn on. I don't even know where to send the little sucker to get fixed.
I wish I would have drove right past that freak'n park got dressed and went to the gym but NOOOOO i had to go fly the motherfarker in the wind. Maybe I should change my name to gixxerdumbass :because I am bummed to the max.
Any suggestions about fixing the glass cheaper I would appreciate it.

OP, that was in fact a bad day. However I think I would rather fix the glass than having to repaint a a body panel any day. I would be more upset no longer having "factory Finish" on a door , quarter panel etc.
So I'm really good at spending your money as I would have an OEM new piece of glass put in and never look back......800 bucks to do an OEM fix on a car like the Vette is chump change.
Try taking the drone to a hobby store. Even though some do not have a "formal" repair department most guys behind the counter are into Radio Control cars or planes, drones etc and you might find a fix there.Even better if they actually have a repair department.
.............good luck with both.

I'd say the glass is definitely cheaper than the hood would have been. Or worse yet if it had hit you somehow. That would have been waaaay more pricy to fix! Insurance should cover it tho. Check your broken glass policy with them.

I have bad dreams about damaging a favorite toy, with another favorite toy. I park my motorcycle right next to the Vette! Dropping one on the other would be the same sort of double-dose of pain!!

FPV only no film at all on this drone. Drone is tough it bounced off the window and flew another 70 yards into a fence.

Yep, race drones don't need no stinkin' cameras. Sorry Gix.
