Bobby,

Little long on avoiding the detail. Let's get to the facts here please, the phone lines down at your end, and you can post all pertinent detail.

The OEM Speedline were Made in Italy, long way from China.

The wheels you offer for 1000+/- are not made by Speedline, are they?

Please post the specs - its NHTSA, regulation by the way - here:

SAE J2530 performance and marking requirements.

WHAT DOES THE WHEELS HAVE cast or embossed into them?

I'm asking nicely - post the pic from the wheel.

BTW - If they do not have a marking or you cant find a way to post the marking, they are illegal to import to the USA.

Speedline/Ronal has moved there plant to Mexico and they are Gm with the logo Corvette stamped in the wheel
If you would leave your phone number or call would be happy to discuss
Thanks
Bob
PS the 19/20 Gm wheels z51 are not made by Speedline and do come from China

Default Put the cert up

Bob
No time for small chat where you aren't going to directly answer the question

Country of manufacture is irrelevant so long as the wheel is certified to meet nhtsa requirement as called out in sae specs

So.....
For like the 9th time
Post a pic of the cert mark and specs on your non speed line

Ok, I'll breath some life back into this thread. Had access to a C7 Z51 OEM rim, or at least we believed an OEM rim. A picture of the stamp inside the rim is below. The rim was sold as a take-off from a C7 on this forum.

Argentimage, help us out. How can we read this to have comfort the rim meets nhtsa requirements? Many thanks.

👍👍👍👍👍

Thanks for showing our vendor what he has been avoiding to post

Bobby the bar has been raised

Calling to listen to 1000 reasons to not post isn't working

To the detail

First you see a GM logo

Trademark fraud is a big deal oem persue with harsh penalties including seizure and destruction it's unlikely China importers would step into this space. They try and often get caught

The fact it's oem then tells you it is certified as a design and via sampling. Now that's a pretty good bet to go on but not 100% as we saw the company has, as all oem have, recalls from time to time where inferior designs get into production.

You can see other details
Made in China
Di cast aluminum
The date of manufacture
Rim size
Part number

And to legally put the DOT marking at the top of all this says parts were tested and results reviewed and approved by the gvt authority essentially

House or any other cheap China rim importer has to pay a license fee if the GM logo is to appear and should be the importer and legal doc holder if the aftermarket rim met sae specs outlined by DOT

Trying multiple times to get people to call ilo showing the evidence is a red flag

Stick with the oem

They put the money into the development and testing
