Run Flat Summer Tires
I'm a brand new member so I don't even know if I am doing the right thing or posting in the right spot? Anyway, I just bought a new 2016 2LT Z51 Corvette. I was just wondering if anyone is ever looking for like new summer run flat tires? I live in Iowa and while I don't plan on driving it in the winter I am going to be putting Ultra High Performance All Season tires on it. Unlike many of you, we only have one other vehicle. In a pinch or in an emergency, or maybe even on a few nice sunny winter days I would like the ability to drive it if need be in temperatures below 50F. I have seen first hand what happens to the summer tires during cold weather. I have seen Vette's just sitting at dealerships lots with huge cracks in the tires with less than 20 miles on them. Some of us don't care about loosing a bit of track speed or cornering ability. I just want tires that I can depend on should I have to drive in the cold. I really do wished at the time of purchase a person could opt for all season tires rather than having to take summer only. Currently I have 900 miles on my tires. Fronts are 245/35ZR19 and the rears are 285/30ZR20. Thanks!
