Yes, the Z06 hood sits higher to accommodate the supercharger. Gives it a more aggressive look as well!
I just looked at pics of both the engine compartments of the Z06 and Stingray and it doesn't appear that cowling is different, even though the hood vent is a different size. However, pics can be deceiving.
I know there are several folks that have changed their hoods to the Z06 and I don't remember reading any problems/difficulties with the cowling mating. But maybe someone who has done this can chime in!

Someone did a wide body conversion and put the z06 hood on his stingray. These hoods look identical fitting wise. A little higher scoop and bigger vents for a better look. I bought one for the widebody conversion I will do and this hood is very light. I'm guessing 25-30 lbs so shipping or transporting won't be difficult for the seller and buyer. I compare these hoods to the fbody Camaro hoods one hood is flat the other is SS style with a hood scoop, they fit and bolt up the same.

It is the cost of the shipping that is prohibited? Otherwise I would have bought it from him already! It is the size and it needs to be packaged right, because they are fragile!

I believe I saw one sold for 2000.00 on the forum a week or so ago. Priced to be a very good deal, even after shipping cost . Never have I seen one sold for this low price.
