Default NRB C7 @ ATCO Raceway this weekend....11.92 @ 119

Anyone's car here? If so what was the best time you ran?

Heard about the 1 pass: 11.92 @ 119. Would love to know 60' time, etc. As well as if it was sport mode, track mode, M7/A6, etc...

Hope you are on here!

Nice. We will be seeing more of this in coming weeks and months.
I will have my C7 at Atco shortly after taking delivery in the next couple of weeks.

Either the Vette is lighter than we think, or more powerful...
But something doesn´t add up here.

Wrong.

I knew it was an 11 second car easy. A few on here were taking that Edmund's time/mph as gospel when it was done at altitude on 91 octane with the car clearly pulling timing. 12.4 @ 113 is a joke for this car. High 11s at 119 is much more like it.

If it had slicks I think mid 11s can be achieved, however the trap speed seems high.
3450 lbs + 250 for driver = 3700 lbs.

3700 lbs @ 119 mph = 486 hp

Not sure the DA, but Atco (NJ) and MIR (Maryland) are some of the fastest tracks in the country. Also, the humidity was low and temps were in the 50s.

Weren't you the one that was saying 12.4 at 113 was about what a C7 should run based on its power and weight?

I was the one saying 115 should be the trap speed.

Hm, 9.5% driveline loss seems low too.
15% would have been my guess.
Which works out to 482 hp as well.

My conclusion - the LT1 is underrated and makes 20 hp more than they have us believe...
Not a bad thing, now is it

You can easily get weather info and calculate DA on dragtimes.org, they have a pretty cool tool for it. Looks like DA of a few hundred feet during the day. If these passes were in the evening it probably dropped pretty nicely.

If the cars horsepower is SAE (certified), how can that be? I thought all cars now go through this so there is no more of this type of stuff.

Think 2003 E55 AMG (469 hp but really was about 510)

2003-2004 Mustang Cobra (390 hp)... cars were dynoing 385-395 RWHP!

I am all for it if its underrated but can it be? The 2014 C7 is SAE certified.

This is about what I was thinking they would run. I think that in time we will see stock cars running 11.70s @ 120 with a good driver and a good DA. My 3700 pound Cobra ran 11.40@121 on Nittos with only 427 RWHP. A tuned C7 on good tires is going to be fast! Low 11s maybe?

The good racing weather in the NE hasn't even started yet. If a stock one went 11.92 at 119 now, expect they'll be going a few tenths and a few mph faster later into the fall.

The Neon SRT4´s made ~10% more than their rating, wich in the C7´s case would be almost 50 ponies LOL.

Going by the weight of my C5 & C6, I think the car with driver would be about 3450. My C5 with driver, roll bar and carrying some "extra" race goodies & 1/2 tank of fuel weighs in at 3415 in full street trim. Wouldn't you think that the C7 would be about the same if not slightly lighter?
