Ahhh what is the reason for waiting when there are others available? I love it when companies tease and then you don't hear anything from them again. DoubleAA, nothing against you, but VARARAM made the initial post and not a thing afterwards.

There is no rush for me as far CAI. I have already taken my car to the track 1/4 mile....very happy with it. However, I believe my car can do better than 11.94 with better weather and 60 feet time....so it deserves another chance in bone stock form. Also, I am aware that some of the complaints from our members about VARARAM workmanship problems. Again their customer service is top notch as far as I am concerned....all of my problems were resolved expeditiously. No big deal here....I was just making a comment. Also I am curious about their R&D results if it ever happens.

Did they ever make the C7 cai???

Not yet which brings the following question to mind. Did Vararam R&D indicate that a cold air intake did not make a material difference in the intake air temperature over the stock unit or were the costs of production too expensive to produce the unit ?

That happened on my C6 Vararam as well, had a mound of debris at the bottom of my MAF screen. I RTV siliconed it and it stopped. No telling how much fine dirt got into my engine though. Amateur hour for sure.

Just a guess. There are what, 2 options for the C7?

I have a feeling, at it might be dumb, that given their name has RAM in it and the C7 does not lend itself to a "ram air" system due to the different intake style vs C5/C6, they just aren't able to differentiate from AFE or Halltech and it isn't worth it to expand into the C7 market.

With all the dramatic audio one would think that it is a defense contractor praising it's new anti ballistic missile system.
I’d also think the copy writer might get it right and say C7 and LT1 vs C-7 and LT-1. Picky but shows a lack of attention to detail. Don

$900 is a tad more than I'm willing to pay for the gain. Since I am not modding the engine until the warranty ends, I see no reason for a CAI that I'd probably get rid of while putting on an FI system.

The systems for the C5 & C6 took cold air directly from the front of the car; great air flow and a material difference in reducing the air intake temperature. I picked up almost three tenths at the track.
The amount of cool air from the bottom of the fender well on the C7 is most likely not that material. You can probably home brew a plastic connector tube and insulate it to keep it somewhat cool. But you will have to cut up the inner fender & grill to get cold air .....give it some time and someone will home brew a cold air syatem
