What's a cost effective track wheel and tire setup for my Z51?

Got a set of TSW 18" with Yokohama AD08R. They clear my brembo calipers, but have replaced stock brake pads with Carbotech. Am told it's the balance tabs of the stock pads that don't allow clearance.
The wheels do stick out of the fenders a little in the back and rub the outside edge of the tire when suspension is fully compressed, but these tires do stick! 😍👍

I can add first-hand information about the Cray Brickyard 20 x 11 rear fitment on the C7 Z51. Not good enough. While they fit and look fine on the road, they extend out too wide and I'm getting a bit of rubbing on the sidewall from the fender lip. I talked to Cray about it today and Ralph told me that Cray does NOT RECOMMEND their wheels be used on the track as they are not strong enough. He also defended the offset as being perfect for street use, but not for high speed. I found the answer puzzling, as they consider their wheels "high-performance".

Yes you do...but as the thread says "cost effective"....

I have a set of four C5 Z06 rear wheels, 18x10.5", with four Nitto NT01's in 315/30/15. They fit fine front and rear without spacers, and have not seen any rubbing on my Z51, and they clear brakes and brake ducts and fenders. At full droop and full lock, the front wheel touches the rear of the front upper A-arm, which is not likely to happen in any situation I can think of. Putting tape marker on A-arm just to be sure it does not happen on track. Same setup as MTI Racing used, so I copied them.

The new Cray Spider wheels seem to be a great choice for track use. They are spin-forged, and at 18x9.5 and 19x11 sizes. These sizes should let you mount a quite-wide array of tires. I am not certain if these wheels can clear C7 Z06 (iron) brakes, though. I asked one of the vendors, but he was not sure. He said he would check it out on their C7 Z06, and get back to me; we'll see.
I ended up ordering StopTech kit for myself, so I ordered CCW TS12 custom wheels, which the manufacturer states should clear StopTech 15" BBK. They said it even clears CCB brakes(!).

Wheels came from Bob at House of Wheels. Setup worked fantastic on both my C7 Z51 and my buddy's iron brake equipped C7 Z06. Tons of grip, and cost effective. My setup is for sale now, 1 day old tires effectively. Shoot me a PM if you're interested.

Following on descartesfool stating 1000 times that 315/30/18 works up front and rear (thank you!!), I just ordered 315/30/18, 325/30/19 Nittos to be shod on my CCW 18x10.5 ET52, 19x11.5 ET83 wheels.
If this setup doesn't rub, but still needs further balancing, I will buy the LG sways and use the stiffer setting up front to shift balance towards understeer a bit more.
- My goal is to go as wide as possible while limiting or eliminating oversteer. In my case, unlike pure square setup of using C5Z rear wheels on all 4 corners, I will have 315s on 10.5" wide wheels, while the rears are already a bit bigger at 325, and they will be mounted on a much wider 11.5" wide wheel, further stretching the contact patch.
- Since wheel width usually dictates the actual contact patch width, I am hopeful this will result in about 20+mm or so actual difference F/R, even though the tire spec would only indicate 10mm or so.
- On the top of this, my T1 rear sway bar is same stiffness as FE4 (Z51 w/MRC), but my fronts are 17% stiffer than FE4 front sways, which should further stabilize the setup.

If you just need a front bar, order a Z07 Front bar off of a GS. That's pretty much the T1 setup.

Take this from someone that learned the hard way, you'll want the T1 front bar if you have the T1 rear bar on non-MR Z51 springs. I even put the stage 3 aero on the back to bring the thing closer to neutral.

By the way, I was told sway bars are all same among Z51 MRC, Z06, Z07?

I have been contemplating running Sumitomo HTR Z III's to make running my C7 on the track more affordable. I realize I will be giving up performance and grip... But I need to find a way to lower my per track day costs. And this one change would drop my track day costs by $150/day.
