NEP Race exhaust with ARH 1 3/4 mid length headers dyno video and numbers
We finally got around to installing the American Racing 1 3/4 MID length headers that also eliminate the front 2 cats (cat less system)and fasten up to the rear 2 cats. Our C7 is already TUNED, and after a couple of logs to verify, the tuning hardly needed any adjustment at all after the ARH MID length headers. The headers ended up gaining 13 rwhp and 15 rwtq and installed pretty simply as well as fit perfectly. Below is a dyno graph representing each stage we have tested this far. Stock, then we tuned it in stock form, we also ported the throttle body but that didn't gain anything worthy enough to mention other than improved throttle response, then we installed the New Era Performance Lightweight Aluminum Race Exhaust system, and now the ARH MID length headers. I am very impressed overall with how much power this car is putting out. I also got a video on the dyno this time so you can hear the exhaust outside the car at wide open throttle. The headers and exhaust system can both be purchased directly from our website www.neweraperformanceparts.com Our next plan is to port the intake manifold and see if there is any power there.

Thanks! At this point, the highest gain was from the tune considering the small things we are testing. We wanted to test out the MID length headers because we haven't seen anybody else do these that didn't already have internal engine modifications, so we just wanted to see where these would end up considering they are much more affordable than the long tube header systems and the power is not too far off from them with a mostly stock car, this way we have this information to provide our customers. Eventually we will be switching to an ARH long tube header system.
