Thanks for your post. I changed out my tail lights yesterday using your info. I did not remove all the bottom bolts in the lower fascia, just the ones on the outsides near the wheel wells. Opened far enough to use a small ratchet set to take out the lights. TIP: take out the bottom screw first, put it in last. Had the weight of the tail light to deal with when it was the last screw to take out. Right hand tail light was much easier taking out bottom screw first. Whole thing took about an hour and a half. Probably less time with less beer breaks.

The body seem that meets the rear quarter panel on my rear bumper could use a small adjustment also.
Will the two screw behind the mud flap in the wheel well allow for this Pete?

Thanks for the great write up!

Guys, I just got the clear tail lights form my Stingray and am wondering what the easiest way is to remove the old ones and install the new ones. Does the rear bumper have to be removed to install them? Any input is welcome.

Yep, I used this write up to install my Z06 tails. Just lay some towels or whatever down under the bumper, you can pull it off by yourself and set it down on them. Then just let it rest against your leg while you swap taillights. Keep the lights in the hatch for easy access.

I didn't have to take mine off all the way, but definitely needs the back lowered to be able to access the lights

Wonderful write up. How long does this whole process take from start to finish?

Excellent, thank you. Just had my ZR51 spoiler painted at my local Chevrolet dealership and the dealer wanted to know if I wanted to install it or if they were going to install it.

I have this mental image of them spraying the spoiler on that box. With my WX CF spoiler currently at the dealer getting painted LB, that would be my luck.

I cringed when I saw this picture of my spoiler but they assured me that it was dry and it was NOT shot on top of a box. I dunno.. but it did inspect my spoiler and it looked very well painted with not a single blemish. ....hahahaha

This was a well written, awesome write up. I felt obligated to make an account here just to say thanks because without it I probably wouldn't have been brave enough to take on the Z06 tail light install. So, Thank You.
