Default What are all the bolt torque settings for maintenance and track setup?

As the Helms manual is not yet out, I was wondering what all the bolt torque settings are one might need for maintenance and track setup.
Brake caliper and bleed screws and lines for rotor, pad and fluid changes front and rear.
Alignment bolts for caster, camber and toe.
Wheel nuts.
Oil drain and other fluid drain plugs.
Height setting bolts.

And any others one might need to torque up.

What alignment specs are you using the recommended GM settings?

If anyone's curious after that question, here is the factory spec on that:

Default Torque spec on the bolts holding the 2 halfs of the caliper together

I think I have not seen the above torque spec. Googling I found 130 but that seems very high. I did use that but the bolts barely hold that much force. They start rounding. Do you have the spec for that?

Are you talking about the bridge bolt that runs perpendicular to the pads or are you actually talking about the bolts that hold the two caliper halves together? The bridge bolt fights caliper spread and it is only tightened to 22 ft lbs of torque. The 130 number is for the two bolts that hold the caliper to the knuckle.

Are you referring to the torque on the cams for the control arm alignment. Spec is 125 lb-ft. If your wrench is slipping make sure you're using a 6pt and not a 12.

Thanks for your Reply. I have a Z51. That has no bridge bolt. I’m looking for the spec for the 4 bolts that keep the 2 caliper bolts together. I just rebuild my calipers.

The GM Service Manual doesn't provide the information you are asking for. The service procedure for rebuilding the caliper in the field is to replace the pistons and seals only and not to separate the two caliper halves.

Since separating the caliper halves isn't a recommended service procedure there aren't any specs for the bolts that hold the two together.

I imagine they might be separated at a rebuilder or remanufacturing plant but not in the field. I suspect there may be seals that go between the two halves so brake fluid doesn't leak and I only see new pistons, dust boots and piston seals in the GM rebuild kit.

Do the threads in the calipers have some sort of steel insert in them? Any large amount of torque applied to the bolts could easily strip the threads inside an aluminum caliper if there isn't an insert. The maximum torque that could be applied to those bolts would be severely limited if all you have are aluminum threads. 130 ft lbs may have done more than round off the heads of the bolts.

My guess is with the size of those bolts the torque spec is more like 50 ft lbs.

Gonna bump this. What is the torque spec for the nut at the knuckle on the rear toe rod?

I think I found a 3 step process but want to be sure.
