I am in the same boat as you Jim. Z51 - Dry Sump- Pro Charger. No catch can as far as I know. Still looking for the verdict. If you do find the result please post it. At this point I'm lost.
Thanks,
Jim

I installed a check valve in the EVAP line to keep boost from going there. You can check out my supercharger pics album if you want to see how I did it.

I can't thank you enough for the info. I'm not sure how to access your supercharger pics but I would like to see them. Did you initially have the same problem? Thanks again, Jim

I didn't have any smell. Just thought it was a good idea not to pressurize the evap system. Got the idea from the new ECS instructions. Here is the Pic. I got the valve off of Amazon.

does the evap valve on this car not hold up to pressure like previous models, or does for some reason the computer run evap cycle even at full load?

Here are some great little check valves that are safe for automotive uses: http://www.usplastic.com/catalog/ite...3369&catid=489

They seal well, open easily, and are cheap to replace if you ever need to. I have a ton of these things that get packaged into a kit I sell and have never had a failure.

Another great valve is the PCV valve from the MKIV Toyota Supra Twin Turbo, but only if you get the OEM one as the aftermarket equivalents are typically junk.

I found 3/8 check valves on amazon and I purchased a lot of (10). If anyone is interested in one I will send it to them for free ( until they run out. ( PM me with an address and I send out.) These are also available still in Amazon, let me know if you want that info also. I installed the Elite 2 catch can system which included a cap for the dry sump that houses a filter, I then added the check valve to stop any blow back into the dry sump. It helped but did not resolve issue.
What I think is happening is the blow off valve is located behind the bumper. The "bad air" from this sits in the bumper well and is pulled into the cabin air vent in the bumper. Still working on fix with the manufacturer. I will update once it is truly fixed.

Here is the part number for the actual GM part that is shown in the ECS instructions.
GM P/N is 12633414
It directly clips onto the solenoid valve on the side of the throttle body after removing the evap line connector. It has a barb that 3/8 hose fits over fine and then just cut the original plastic tube and slide the hose on and clamp. Very clean OEM part made for this purpose.

Thanks Bob, I took that line and ran it into the catch can and then took one of the (2) outlets and ran that into the solenoid valve which is a check valve ( I mean the line coming out of the catch can). The other connection came from drilling a small hole in the air intake right before the throttle body, installing a 3/8 barb connector and installing a line from there to the other catch can input. this way I also hopefully pull oil out of the throttle body. If you go to Elite Engineering web site and click on C7 installation instructions it gives you pics and instructions. FYI, I tried to email and leave voicemails for the Elite people and have had no response. Just know that you will be on your own as far as installation.

The only reason it is supplied is to provide redundancy to the evap solenoid. In the event it would fail the check valve would prevent boost from pressurizing the system. There have been no issues that caused this to be added.

Thinking this check valve played a role in the solution of oil in the intake as well? Or am I thinking of something else?

No its not a related to or does it help the oil issue.
