Traction with Supercharger???

Regardless, I feel for the OP having their beautiful car banged up and wish them the best in getting it repaired.

I got caught in the rain once in my 69 Camaro with NTO5R's….Nothing puckers up your butt hole like spinning 720 degrees at 50mph. Getting to see the same semi truck coming at me twice was fun too.

DOT approved is not the same thing as All Weather or All Season
Sucks that you crashed but if you run drag radials on the street full time then you are crazy. If you got caught in the rain on the way home from the track then I do feel sorry for you.

Living in South Florida you should know first hand how quickly weather conditions can change.
Some of us live in parts of the country where it rarely rains and when it does it floods. 99% of the time it's fine to run a drag radial on the street, it's just that one time you get caught when it's wet and **** hits the fan.
Stop harping on the guy about his choice of tires, it happens.

My Insurance didnt give me no problem. The estimate came out to be around 11k, Gonna have to bolt my stock tires back on and just get some 18 wheels with drag radials to take to the track. Most of the parts they order was on 4 to 6 week back order so it going to be while.

For what its worth I had just pulled the trigger on drag radials for my daily driver and your picture made me change my order!

Does anyone here use the R888 for more than just driving to and from the track? i.e. any thoughts on having it as a DD tire?
I'm finding that even my stock Z51 could use better traction at lower speeds in 1st gear so looking for another alternative although I don't race the car often.

I do, it's not my DD but I don't have any complaints really. They're loud, I guess, but the car is louder. Tread wear is going to suck if you put any real miles on the car you're going to be going through tires really quick.

for a daily driver I would opt for a michelin pilot sport.

Have either of you experienced driving in the rain with them?
