We simply spent some time looking at how the CVN process works, and found a way to do what we needed. It has been verified to not show up by a 3rd party member here and I have tested it countless times.

No guarantees as to what you asked. We have no way to know what happened, or if you told them you tuned the PCM, or if it had previously been flashed by some other non GM method, etc.

Mike,
I found this note in the Trinity Owner’s Guide. I assume if this procedure (restore “Original Backup”) is not followed then your tune will be seen by GM and the CVN not be the original.

No, dont make assumptions

The CVN is never changed with our tool.

I carry mine in the hidden compartment in the back. Also, I've had my C7 Z51 into the dealer 3 times for software updates and they haven't said a thing. Not sure if they didn't see it, weren't looking for it or they don't really give a rat's a$$. I've got over 4K miles with the Diablo tune and never had an issue with anything overheating. All temps are exactly where they were with the stock program.[/QUOTE]

What software updates ?

Simply, if you don't restore and GM updates the ECM you loose your tune and the Intune/Trinity needs to be unlocked. That will cost you $$ to unlock.

We will have support for them as soon as someone volunteers to loan us one for development on the A8 side of things

Will the Diablosport tuner shut off the Active Fuel Management on a 2011 Camaro SS?

Uh... Revive an 11 month old thread to ask a question about...a Camaro.

Had you taken the time to look at the DS web site, you would have found your answer. But I'll save you the 20 seconds: yes.

I wanted to see if Dialblo would still publicly confirm that question in 2015. I was told they removed that it was undetectable from their website. Now all I see is reminder to roll back the tune to the original settings which sort of implies but doesn't state it's undetectable.

its because if GM does a update on your car, it could get rid of the diablo one.

I confirm this almost weekly on this forum, check the Z06 section

Still works the same way today.

Thanks

Im gonna assume that this stealth benefit is only there when your diablosport tuner is used with your supplied tune. Meaning that if a tune on the trinity for an ECS blower is installed, then the blower is removed and stock tune reinstalled, the checksum would be changed and dealer would know??
