Default Drag radial size questions

Just ordered my procharger - I'm going to order some wheels for drag radials

I like the thought of the reproduction z-51 wheels. They have 18 x 9.5 and 19 x 10 - I like the sleeper look, but think that the 18 x 9.5 will be too narrow and goofy looking

Whats the best drag radial to go with?

I'm currently running the 20 black z-51 wheels with 305/30/20 mich

If I go with the 19' reproductions - what size should I go with? Will a 19" drag radial hook?

Who has experience with this and can give me some real world advice - i'll keep my street tires for the street, want something I can go to the track with

mickey thompsons 18inch will give best results.

pay attention to wheel weights. repros are typically very heavy (over 23 lbs)

find wheels that fit properly and are under 22 lbs

I was thinking the same thing for the tire - 305/40/18, but not going to find a z51 look a like for a reasonable price I think...... and I'm not a fan of the tires sticking out past the body line

HIGGS, do you think these tires will work with the 18 x 9.5 replicas?

Houseofwheels - do you have an idea of fitment for the 18 x 9.5 wheels? Whats the weight?

I'm just going to use the 18x8.5 base fronts with 265/40/18 M/T drag radials. Just havent found a set of front wheels alone yet to buy. They fit just fine on the rear, just have to use thin wheel weights on the inside or they will hit the upper ball joints.

The 265/40/18s were good enough for 1.5x 60 foots and 10.60s/132 on my old 100% stock suspension '11 mustang auto with a TVS on stock 18x8 wheels. Granted thats a solid axle car but those little 18' radials did very well on street car night track prep. Stick shift will probably need more tire..

Not a lot of guys racing their C7s yet, race star supposedly has some skinny front and 18' rears that will work on a C7, I'm sure more will be coming.
