Anyone mounted a radar detector in a 2015 C7?
I'm thinking about getting an Escort Redline radar detector with Blendmount for my C7. Seems like I read somewhere that there may be a problem getting to a switched wire at the rearview mirror in the 2015 model. Can anyone confirm or deny if there is an accessible switched (not always hot) wire that can be tapped into on the 2015 C7 rearview mirror? If a switched wire is accessible there, how did you access it? If you have a radar detector in your 2015 C7, where did you mount it if not at the mirror and how did you run your wire?

You will not be able to tap a switched power source in the mirror. You can use a few methods here.
I chose to place mine on the dash with a remote display wired into the speedometer area. I ran the cable back toward the windshield and tucked it around the trim, through the A-pillar area (required removing the A-pillar), then ran it straight down to a Savvy unit. You can also pull a ground and switched power there, but if you saw the number of electronics I have in there, you'd freak out.
Second option is to mount it on the mirror using a mirror mount or in the case of Valentine One (and perhaps similar) using the 'visor clip' and inserting it between the 'roof' and headliner. In this case, you'd run the wire around the top trim, then similarly run in down the A-pillar (again my removing it) and down to the kick panel.
These are the two preferred methods that I've seen and/or done myself.
Hope that (perhaps) helps a bit!

I doubt the wiring has changed, So, you can wire it to the cigarette lighter plug in the console, the rear fuse box #47. If you have a V1, then the Savvy can be used that Theta mentioned.
The cigarette lighter is switched and easy to get to. Run from the RD under the window trim ( you will have to drop the sun visor (couple of screws under the cover plate), down the A Pillar, behind the kick panel, under the carpet to the console and tap the rear of the cigarette lighter that is in the console, not the one forward. The console wire is easy access and you don't have to get the top of the console all the way up to get to it. The console can be lifted a couple of inches to tap & fuse at the wire.
Console on the 14 (compare to your 15) opens thus:
1) Remove console door (3 or 4 screws)
2) Remove trim piece the sits on the left top of the console. Your knee rests against it. The piece will pry off horizontally toward the driver door.
3) Lift the console closest to the removed door end.
All trim should be pried up/off using something like this: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/OES-25314
Pretty easy.

I had a V1 hooked up to a Dash Tronix Radar Detector in my 2010 Grand Sport. I t powered the unit and projected alerts on the HUD. Just ordered my Z06 and wonder if anyone has seen something similar to this for the C7.

Okay, I found the answer to my own question. According to Valentine a normal telephone cable with a RJ11 connector will work. Does anyone know which wire will be connected to positive and which to negative?
