Default Starting issues 2008

We recently replaced the fuel pump on my 2008 corvette (drivers side) and now it will not start on the first try. I have to push the button 2 x's and it always starts on the second try but does nothing but crank on the first try. We have also checked the relay and it is fine. Can anyone help with what else it might be? We also checked the spark plugs and they all look good as well.

It sounds like a fuel pump relay problem to me, you should post this in the c6 section.

The system is meant to hold some pressure from the previous run of the car...if it is not, it will take a sec to get fuel pressure up. First thing I would do is get a fuel pressure gauge and screw it on the fitting at the engine...leave it there and it will tell you what is going on when you try to start the car.
