In my 2 Pontiac G8's the engine ECM is easily accessable and can be swapped out in a minute or 2. Wondering if this is possible on the C7 I'm considering. If so, can one purchase for a reasonable price a second ECM that can be tuned, so the original can just be swapped in for dealer visits?

Talk to Ben at WeaponX. I believe he has or can get spare ECM's. Not sure on cost but I want to say I remember it was very reasonable.

It's behind the passenger front fender, right behind the wheel and next to the dry sump on Z51s. Last I checked, they're not off restriction yet either.
