** 2015 A8 ECS Supercharged, American Racing headers, Meth injection 701/609 Video**
Hi guys,
Working with our friends at JTM Motorsports in Long Island, we worked together to put this package together for their shop car.
Keeping things simple yet effective like we typically do, this car only has 3 mods done to it. Our base supercharger kit with the restrictor plate removed making 11 lbs of boost. American Racing headers and Methanol Injection for the octane needed.
I'm very impressed so far with the 8 speed auto trans initially, tuning is not available for them yet, but even without that it does seem to be an improvement over the A6 for sure.
The crew from JTM is on their way with the car to the LSX Shootout in Indy as I type this, although some of it's potential will be held back by the lack of trans tuning, we are looking forward to seeing what it can do!

Some results from last weekend, even without transmission tuning and many related problems with shifting because of that, guys from JTM did the best they could to manipulate the ECM to get it to shift somewhat..
The best pass so far was 10.3 @ 134. There is still a lot left in it once the trans is ironed out. That's rather remarkable since trying to get the car to shift at that power level without trans tuning, on a trans that very few have even driven yet is like entering a fight with one hand tied behind your back.
I expect deep 9's from this car in the future.

Wow! Nice work ECS
Have you done any testing with the tri-y headers with your kit?

Not the same trans though.
What was the 60? Seems to launch very well. Did you use launch control?
Seems to me changing out 5th gear would do huge things for the car. The drop off from 4th-5th is huge.
Keeps making me think about the A8 but longevity would be a question mark for me.
Still amazing for what probably equals 10-12 thousand worth of work to go that fast that easily.

As for reliability we drive our car hard every time we are in it, We raced it at Indy for the LSX shootout, we made about 12 passes there & we ran it last weekend at the East Coast Callout Roll race event at Pocono, where it finished second in class, not to mention the street driving we do, so its been through a lot already, it is our shop car/test mule, so every time we think of something that may help it we put it on the dyno to see if it worked, and the trans has not skipped a beat... Btw we made 678RWH on our Mustang AWD dyno today as we ran it for a few guys from the Long Island Corvette club who were taking a tour of our shop.

I'm not 100% sure but I believe the A8 in our car is the same as the A8 in the upcoming Z06... As for the 60ft. The best we got all weekend form Indy was 1.6's, the rpm drop from the 4th-5th gear shift is killing us!! unfortunately the transmission tuning software is no available yet, but I don't think its a gearing issue I think its the torque converter locking up... Once the trans software is available we believe we can tune on this current set-up and get it in the 9's...
It will be interesting to see how different it is. Tougher individual parts or different internal design or how interchangeable the parts are.
